Just picked up my 2011 Countryman S All4 last week, and i love it. All i have owned in the pass were Audi's and i felt i needed a change. I have a few questions. when i lock the car i dont hear a "beep" the lights just flash, is this normal? thats it... heres a list of cars and pictures i have owned in the past

99 Audi a4 1.8t, 2004 Audi tt 1.8t 225 ( running 24 lbs of boost) 2001 audi a6 2.7t( Twin turbo 6 speed) and 2004 Audi a4 1.8t ( traded in) My whole family has Audi's

No horn sounds when I lock either, just flashing lights as you describe. With my installed options, no amount of "youification" has worked, even though I recall something in the owner's manual saying there should be a beep.

congrats and welcome aboard.
without the alarm option it won't beep. some people wired buzzers into the fuel door lock so it chirps when it beeps if you have the need for the audio confirmation.

Fantastic and the All4 system is really sweet.

As someone else said, only beeps with the alarm. Our CM has the alarm and beeps, our MCS does not have the alarm and doesn't beep...

Looks like you live in a snowy area from the picture, I assume you have either A/S or winter tires on? Those runflat performance tires they put on some of the Countrymen are freakin' dangerous in the winter.

We have about 10k miles on ours. Not a spot of trouble, and we really like it...no other car like it on the road....anywhere...

Congrats on the CM!

My CM beeps on lock and double beeps on unlock--it must be the alarm.
You may want to check with a knowledgeable MA (Mini Advisor) as some previous BMW models I would ask the dealer to program the alarm ON (even without an alarm). A fancy way of saying they connect a laptop and click the alarm switch on. And it would beep.
