Rear bumper protection with boot open?

Hi folks,

I'm looking for something I can flip over the bumper when I open the boot to keep the area from getting scratched when loading/unloading items.

I am aware of the Mini rear boot protector, but that runs from the back of the seats and covers the entire area(and costs $251!).

Does someone make something that just folds out to protect the bumper area?

thanks very much

Jeff

I am not aware of anything that folds out of the trunk to port the number. I know what you're talking about and I assume you are thinking of the Corvette accessory that does exactly that. I have been considering just getting some thick clear or black self adhesive vinyl and making a protector for the top of the rear bumper area.

Also, it couldn't be that hard to get some rubber sheet, cut it to size and attach it inside the boot area.

BMW has one for their wagons and may work for your MINI. I had one my BMW and it just folded out over the rear bumper and I never had it hooked to the car.

I just used the giant Mini towe I got from the dealer when I bought it. Keep it folded across the boot and when I need to I just flip part of it out and I feel better. Work for me.

I went with some of the 3M Clear Bra material, and lined the top of the rear bumper. Works like a charm, and you can hardly tell it's there.
