New CM owner here, I needed mine asap so had to buy a pre-built model as opposed to waiting 8 wks to order, and it's pretty close to everything I wanted except that it's white w/ white roof and I really like the black top..

I was considering getting a matte black wrap job on the roof, has anyone heard any successful stories with this type of job? Or anybody offer better suggestions?

Any feedback much appreciated

Find a pro wrap shop in your area. They should be able to cover the roof easily.
Luckily, the roof is an easy surface to cover (compared to the compound curves in the body).
The shop in L.A. that put the viper stripes on my R56 does lots of full car wraps on some very high-end stuff ($$). If the installer is good, your roof will look perfect.

You can pretty much wrap anything and I have friends that wrapped the roof of their Audi's & BMW's. Just make sure you go with a guy that knows what he's doing. Another thing you can do is paint it black and it will be permanent instead of wrapping. One more thing you can do is Plasti Dip the roof, there's YouTube videos of guys Plasti Dipping their whole cars.

i was looking at doing it to my car for a while, but put the project on hold for now. But 2 sign shops in town here quote was $400-$475. So that will be what to look for price-wise at least.

can't remember who, but i'm pretty sure someone flat black wrapped their whole cm here. flip thru the "what did you do..." and the pics threads and maybe you'll find 'em. there's also a r56 owner with a flat white wrap that looks amazing. search around a bit.

There was an episode of Big Bang Theory that featured a CM where they had wrapped the roof and the pillars matte black. There is a clip on You Tube that shows it pretty well.
Here is a link to the thread that contains the clip.

I Googled Pro Wrap and was surprised how good the finished product was. Any idea what it would cost?

give Kyle at Vinylstyles a call. I'm not sure where you are located but at the very least they can tell you what it entails and perhaps recommend someone local...

Ok so I've been browsing thru some pics and been seeing some nice mods.. I'm a bit concerned though,I don't have anthracite wheels, would a matte black roof look awkward with shiny black rims?
