Question about Rail Accessories

I just picked up my CM last week. In the boot there was a bag with the rail accessories. I found the two cup holders, sunglass case, and iPhone holder. Also in the bag are 3 long skinny things, 2 hooks, and a little bag of screws. Does anyone know what those are for? I thought I read somewhere on this forum that the 3 skinny things are rail dividers. Does anyone know if this is true and also what the 2 hooks and bag of screws are for?

Thanks!

Screws are probably for the Licence plates.

Long skinny 'bendy' things are dividers you can put in and the others are bag clips, for hanging 'grocery' bags from.

Thanks Zazoh! So the hooks are for hanging things from the rail?

yes, the hooks clip on the top of the rail and hang to the outside of the rail

i hang a small size plastic bag there for trash

also useful for wire control/containment from cigar power outlet to a device and from a device to the aux inputs

All I got was the sunglass holder and iphone holder (which I replaced with a ProClip). Wish I had a cupholder. Anyone know where to buy them from? I have contacted my Mini dealer who contacts the parts department and they have been unsuccessful at finding a part number. Any suggestions?

You didn't get the other items because you have the rear bench, therefore you have less rail to put things in...that's the attitude of "the man" anyway.

I'm afraid I don't have the part number anymore, however I did purchase a second cup holder and its connector via my MINI of Fairfield County's parts dept. I received it in about a week. Here's their main number: (877) 220-5130 I can't think why your dealer's parts department couldn't find the part.

Just so you know it's a rather large item, however it works perfectly and it quite nice to have as a third place for bottles, etc.

Adapter for rail: 51 16 9 809 203 $10.36
cup holder: 51 16 9 809 393 $20.97

Yes, the adapter is specific to the cup holder. To me it seems kind of like a crazy way to do things but what do I know, I was happy and remain happy with my MINI Coopers three built in cup holders.

Hope this helps.
