Today I bought some rustoleum rubber coating spray and sprayed my rear fender wells in an attempt to add more noise isolation. I haven't had time to test drive it yet. Let's hope there is a measurable difference with the db meter. If I notice a difference I will spray the front fender wells. If not I will go with dynamat.

Yah! I was able to obtain a 2 db reduction in noise at both 45 and 65. I definitely could hear more noise coming from the front than the rear. On to the front fender wells!

Good idea, and a lot easier than pulling out door panels and carpet.

Luckily the software is (mostly) in English. The codes are in German, but the thread in Electrical makes it pretty easy.

Sweet! How thick would you say the coat you put on is? Layer wise I guess would be a better way to ask, how many layers did you spray on? Seems like a great idea.

I sprayed heavy coats since the stuff in an aerosol can sprays on pretty thin. I used one can per wheel well. I am anxious to get the fronts done now so I can see what the difference will be. It certainly sounds like most of the sound is coming from the front now. I'll be picking up some more Rustoleum Professional Grade Undercoating today from Autozone and doing the front fenders this evening.

Tinted windows. 50% front, 35% rear. Legal limit in WI. Also did clear vinyl on headlights and fog lights for protection.

Fantastic! Please keep us informed about the results as I am very interested in all noise reduction methods for CM. I like a quieter cabin.

Blacked out the chrome rings around tail lights. Started raining so that's all I did.

No. Actually I used Plasti-Dip right out of the can. I seen someone using it of YouTube. If you search Plasti-Dip on YouTube, there will be many tutorials on how to use it. I never intended to use it on my exhaust tips, but I tried it there first just as a practice before actually spraying the chrome rings around my tail lights. I left it there because I liked how it looks.

@dpike: one of the tutorials has a guy named Fonzie. He did the same thing to his car. He said it was there for quite some time with no affect. So I don't believe heat is a factor.

as long as you're comfortable with it. the usage temperature range is -30 to 200° F according to their TDS.

by the way, the blacked out chrome looks great with the oxford green and your stripe.

Put GoBadge Badge bar on my rear plate only to have the entire thing fly off on the HOV on 64 leaving base. Luckily my deal wasn't processed all the way so the dealership issued me new plates. The bad news is now I'm down a badge bar, two badges, and two chrome holders :-( FML

TODAY I signed the paperwork and drove my 2012 Countryman S ALL4 home. First day as a Mini owner. I think my face might be stuck in a permanent grin position.

I went back to my dealer and got my real license plate, no more temp tag. While there I purchased the Garmin holder kit and was going to get a windshield screen, but there was none in stock, only a huge BMW screen.

Those eyeshades are GREAT! I'm going to order a set this week.

Here is my MCS ALL4. I spent most of the day figuring out the tech package, pairing everyone's phones, learning voice commands, etc. And some driving, of course!
