First coat of wax!

So my buddy did some paint sealant and swissvax on my E70 and the R60. I wanted to get this done before I do the 3M paint protection film this week. This was perfect weather for it, not too hot and a bit overcast!

If I'm not mistaken, they want the paint wax free when they install the clear bra. When I had one installed on my A3, they asked me not to wax the car until after it was installed.

Hmm, thats interesting. The people doing it said it wouldn't make a difference.

The first pic shows one winter tire on the front and one summer on the rear? Who's doing your bra?

Summer fronts were off for cleaning.

I had it on my M3 for 7 years before I sold it, and my wife's Subaru legacy. No chips after 7 years (109k km)

Most shops will do some prep work before installing, so they may just plan on stripping the car of wax anyway. I would probably ask before hand, and make sure it's a reputable shop.

Keep in mind, one of the nice features of a nicely waxed vehicle is how nce it is to easily wash off things like bugs and debris. It's a nice, smooth, surface that things can easily slide off of. I don't think you want the clear bra to slide off as easily. It really needs to adhere to the surface, and won't do that well with a fresh coat of wax.

Nice choice in cars. We have a 2012 X5 50i in Deep Sea Blue and a 2012 CM All4 in white with a black top.

I would love a e70 50i! I've been debating whether to trade now or wait for the new body style. Nothing like being able to haul stuff and haul @ss at the same time

I'm liking the stripes on the mini. I guess you didn't get the sport activity package with the 20s. Don't worry, the fender flares are easy to retrofit, and the style 336 wheels look amazing.

I already have the extended wheel arches and had them painted to match the body. I just need to find rims. I do not want a stock BMW rim. What I like is too expensive and I have not found anything I love in my $5k budget for rims and tires.
