Craven Speed Gauges

Finally finished installing my gauges (oil pressure and boost) from Craven Speed:

While I like having them there, I will say that it was a pain in the butt installing the tapless adapter for the oil pressure gauge. It took me the better part of a few days getting everything done.

Blog write-up is over here (as usual).

Awesome! Thank you for taking the time to write this up. I really want gauges but because the teach is inset in the dash I don't know if I can get our gauges up there.. thinking about getting the kit you have as a starting point.

Could you snap some pictures of where you routed the vacuum tube and oil pressure wire through the firewall as well as some more of your new gauge cluster? I'd love to specifically see a front head on view through the steering wheel but some pics not the back and side would be helpful as well :-)

Wow, that looks great, nice and clean! How do you like the boost gauge so far?

Thank you threar! Looks like I may not be able to get 4 gauges up there :( on the plus side it looks like routing through the firewall is easy :-)

I like the boost gauge, it's kinda silly for a daily driver but I like the visual to go with the sound as I accelerate.

Really, the only tough part is getting the cover off the firewall port. The Craven Speed instructions include taking the entire cover off, but I just used the access panel that's there.

can you slide the gauges lower to the steering column? or does the dash get in the way?

The speedo backs into the dash too much to be able to drop the gauges any further down.

Quick update on this install, turns out the gray wire under the center console isn't the correct wire to use. The effect was interesting; the gauge lights were on as long as I was in drive, otherwise they'd turn off (such as in park or reverse).

Instead, there's a gray with red stripe wire available under that that works much better.

Looks like I need to get the 3D printer put back together so I can make a gauge mount bracket that is further forward. If I'm going to put gauges on it's going to be four.. I'll keep you posted Thanks for the pics threar!
