Once I have my VIN# is there a site to get any additional info other then the mini owners lounge? (which is always weeks behind on info).

Only other place that takes a VIN that I know of is the WW shipping line. But if your Mini goes on a contract ship (like mine) or K Line, the WW site will not work for you.

The dealer's computer system has much more up to date info than OL. Even so for my order, OL was usually updated by 3 days after a status change.

Ever so slowly closer to port

Hey MiniMouse17:

Did your owners' lounge update change to en route yesterday? If so. Florida Highway is probably your boat. I see it posted in the Port of Charleston to arrive the 9th and Brunswick on the 7th. Baltimore is the first stop scheduled on the 2nd I think. I don't know where your distribution center is but it looks good on actual delivery. My MA says to allow 1 week after unloading @ Brunswick. Smelling that new car smell...my dogs have been sniffing towards the ocean this last week sensing their new ride coming.

Hey doc! The OL update changed this past weekend, on the 24th. So I'm not sure what that means. I'm assuming I'm on the Florida Highway, crossing my fingers I'm on the Florida highway... Not sure where my distribution center is either, but I know I'm heading to Brunswick. We're calling today to find out for sure where MINIme is. I'll let you know. Can't wait for that new car smell!! Is it bad that we're getting me a new car before getting the new furniture that we need?!

It's all about priorities and what's important. On this site, we'd probably agree about what's important!

Tracking Mini

I don't know. If your Mini was on WW line, your VIN supposedly would id your vehicle as cargo. KLine has no way of confirming your car is on the boat. My MA notified me the day my car left Bremerhaven and I was able to figure out the boat it was on by schedule of the ship. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Like a little kid @ Christmas!

MiniMouse:

I think the title says it all!!! I hoping for a tailwind from Baltimore to Brunswick. Got a day of time to catch up on. By the way Mini, I never asked where the Blue Smuf is going to live at when it departs on the autocarrier from Brunswick?

Happy Gear Shifting in your Dreams!

She'll be coming home to College Station, Tx where she'll meet her cousin, my husband's BMW M3. They should look great together in our garage. Meanwhile my Pontiac Sunfire, Sarabi will get banished to the street. Poor girl. Ah well. lol

So where on the WW site do I enter my VIN - I don't see a "Auto Cargo" link - I do see under "Track and Trace" menu there"s a Cargo ID entry available. Is that where I put the VIN? Thanks everybody! R

correct - enter it into the Cargo ID box - mine did not show up until the evening the ship was set to sail - good luck

Cargo ID is where you are supposed to put your VIN but it never worked for me. I just watched my ship go through marinetraffic.com and hoped my MA was right about which ship it was on. It's now on a transport truck to the dealership so... so far, so good!

Did your SA tell your which ship you're on? I'm still waiting to hear.

My Mini was on a self-owned ship (Platinum Ray) under contract to WW, so the VIN never showed on the WW web site. Of course the same will happen if another shipping company takes the car. But I was able to track the ship when I figured out the name from the departure and arrival schedules.

Another good site, if you know the name of the ship, is www.marinetraffic.com.

Granted it's not quick but it keeps you from going insane, if you're not on WW.
I was on K-Line and you can't track from their site.
