Snow Brush?

Now that Winter has come to Vancouver, I need to research snow brushes (haven't had one for the past 15 year living in SoCal).
Is there a Mini-logo'ed brush/scraper on offer from the delaer? Any good?

Better alternatives?

I like my Sno Brum. It has a 16.5" wide styrofoam snow pusher and an extendable aluminum handle.

You don't really want a brush with a Mini logo?? I use my arm, the car is tiny. My old car was a Toyota Sienna, I needed a snow brush for that.

We do get lots of snow here too.

I think I bought my snow brush at Walmart for like $6. I'm just careful not to touch the paint with it. I never trust anything not to scratch my car.

Thats what I have here, it was quite useless on the XL Denali with all the snowstorms last year, but Im sure will be more than enough for the MINI

I got this from Crappy Tire 50% off:
http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/Winter-Driving/SnowBrushesScrapers/PRD~0304451P/Ultra+Maxx+Snow+Brush%2C+27-in.jsp?locale=en

It's really short and fits easily in the trunk. Also has relatively soft bristles. My last brush was way too long for a MINI. I don't expect it will see too much use in Vancouver ;-)

I bought one with an adjustable handle at NAPA for around $20. It is the same thing we used to use when I sold cars to clean off brand new cars.

The above web site shows what a fixed wooden handle one looks like.

As i left work today a coworker's matrix was parked right next to my CM All4. Guy was scraping away at the windshield with credit card (a classic Canadian ritual). While his car was iced and had a layer of new snow on roof. The CM had absolutely nothing, nada, ziltch anywhere to be seen! I told him he should get a CM with its ice & snow repellent paint! He couldn't believe it had nothing to be seen!

I stopped by & picked up a telescoping brush/scraper from crappy tire on the way home.

mini should have a shake mode...so when it detects snow fall...it simply shakes off the snow (like a pup shaking off the water). another crazy idea, how about mini have something that warms the body (like heated mirrors), so the snow just slides off. those are my ideas for the morning...now back to my hi-test coffee lol

How about the spontaneous engine fire feature? That should take care of it...

One with a MINI logo isn't going to do the job unless you put it there yourself.

I myself, prefer the IceDozer!

LOL, there's a new one -- does this count? :D

IceDozer MINI

MINI branded snow brush? Is that a bridge too far?

I use an aluminum expandable brush/scraper. I think they were 2 for $19 @ Costco. It works and isn't that what counts? I keep towels in the car to clean it off and I try to never touch the paint.

besides the snow broom, i like to use a de-icer spray ...prestone makes a good one...just put on your defroster and spray onto iced windshield (dont spray when its windy out...dont want that stuff getting in your eyes.) prestone also makes a spray that you put on at night - so it will minimize icing overnight.

Sno Brum looks intriguing... Reminds me of a heavy duty Swiffer Sweeper...

Sno Brum works great. New car dealers use them so they won't mess up the paint.I have been using one for about 10 years.

I bought a $6 ice scraper from CanTire, but on really cold, snowy mornings (very few here in Victoria.) I just go down to the driveway and start the car, fire up the heated seats, hit the defroster switch and point the hot air at the windshield. Go inside for five minutes and finish getting ready for work, and when I come back outside everything is melted off the windows AND the interior is nice and warm.

This works great unless you live in an area where someone might drive off in your car.
