sorry for starting a new thread but i have waited and waited for weeks for a VIN, while everyone else on this board who ordered around my time was seeing great progress and now awaiting shipping....so for me, i can finally breadth a sigh of relief. yaya

Out of curiosity, when is your scheduled production?

Congrats! I ordered mine last night and Im already like a kid before Christmas! Cant wait! Since you ordered in October, It gives me some hope to have mine early next year!!

 

my SM sent me the information including VIN and im in production stage 150...so i assume its well on its way. my OL of course still states...on order.

OL has a bad habit of not updating for days. It might show "In paint shop", but it might really be on the train heading to post. You might want to call 866-Ask-MINI. When you call it will ask you for your VIN and other info, it will give you a better update. You can also talk to a customer service rep. Good Luck!

 

Yes, the live reps at ASKMINI usually have much more updated information than the recorded information and are WAY ahead the Owner's Lounge online. However, there was one time when I called that the recorded info was more up to date than the live rep. I don't want to rain on your parade, but it is possible to wait quite a while after getting your VIN before production actually starts. It can also start production a day or two later. I hope that's the case for yours. Best of luck with the rest of the process!
