My two week old Countryman developed a rattle or scraping kind of noise on the ride home lastnight. Checking it during daylight...i cant find anything. The noise came and went away during a 10 mile stretch on a highway i couldnt pull over at. Made it to work this morning with no noise. Started it at lunch today and can hear a rattle but cant trace what's making it. The tin heat shrouds seem obviouse but i don't think its them. The noise went away again while I was looking under the front passenger side.
is there a common issue with this kind of noise?

 

You'll probably find a number of noise threads in the "Fixing Problems and Issue" board, but the first thing to check is the terminal covers for your battery. They've been a common cause of noise in that area for some people when one is off.
