Black headlight housing on a Light White??

What does everyone think about a light white with black roof + black headlight housing?? I ordered my CMS 2 days ago but still not too sure about the black headlight. Btw, apparently now when u order the black headlight u can also order the adaptive xenon.

I like the blacked out headlights. Trouble is to get them now you also have to order Xenons and adaptive. Those black lights end up costing $800+. Used to be a $100 option I think before 2012.

i ordered the royal gray with black roof, black mirrors, black rims with the black headlight housing...so i went with a more conservative approach. in general, are you more conservative in taste? if you are, the black and white contrast maybe a bit much ...especially since you are unsure now. if you are just leasing or keeping for two to three years, it may be fun. also if you havent already, build it at miniusa and you'll see the look.

I think it would look pretty sweet. If it had been an option when we ordered ours I would have gotten it.

Hey guys. Just ordered my CM Monday, got the Xenon and black headlight housings, but there was nothing about having to get the adaptive headlights? Maybe since i did not specify i wanted the 2012 model? *shrugs*
ps: wasn't white, but i think it would look very unique!

Pretty certain you don't have to get the adaptives with the blacked out housings.

You do have to get the auto wiper/headlight combo for $250 though if you go adaptive. So it ends up being a $350 charge not $100 as it appears.

Your salesperson is mistaken, show him it is available on the configurator.

I'm must be old school. I like chrome. I felt I was stepping out when I got black wheels. But, the more I look at some of your blacked out cars they have started to grow on me.......a little. I'm still waiting on my white/black with bonnet stripes to get here...another month or so to go :-(

I joey moded my halogen headlights and I've got a white w/ black roof.....I loved blacking out everything on my mini. My gallery doesn't show the finished product, but there's no longer any chrome on my car.

I'm due to get my White Countryman with Xenons next week in the UK. Wish I'd ordered black headlight housings but they weren't on the configurator at the time. Anyone know if they can be retro-fitted?

Ordered my light white R60 in March, arrived last week. It has the black headlight housings and I think the look sweet. I plan to whiteout the chrome around the HL/TL rings, and blackout all other chrome.

Did you just pull the lights and spray them? I've got halogens too, and they look better than I would have thought blacked out.

What did you use for the belt line and door handles?

maybe call them to confirm which part number you'd actually need based on what you have.

I bought the snap on door handle covers from Aesthetic Creations (but they really need piece of double sided tape on the inside to assure that they don't come off) and they look great and install in seconds. For the beltline I used Scotch electrical tape, but the more expensive high heat version. The tape has been on now for about 9 months and still looks good and lasted even through the very, very hot Southern CA summer. There are a couple of places where there is a little bubbling at the top of the tape that I have to replace, but it's an easy job. When you apply it, don't pull and stretch it. Just lay it on with an ever so slight stretch. You may have to do some parts a couple of times especially where there are sharp turns, but after a while you get the hang of it. The tape is cheap enough that pulling it off and starting over isn't big issue.

Wouldn't have it any other way!

I've blacked out the rings, grill, front & rear logo and door handles but not the belt line yet.
