Unhappy Decided to sell....

OK, kinda a bummer, but I've decided to sell my 2011 Countryman S All4. I ordered it last October and got in in January. The car's been really great but sales at the office haven't been so I'm thinking it's wise to unload it.

It's got all the options (Cold, Convenience, Connected, Premium, Sport, Alarm, Lounge Leather, Auto, etc.) except Nav and is Black/Black/Black. I paid about $39.5k and put on about 6k miles.

Any suggestions on where to sell? I'm thinking I'll start with Craig's List.

Looking, I don't see any used cars for sale in the Portland area and very few around the country. So demand should still be good. I'm hoping to get out of it very close to what we paid. Any thoughts or advice for me?

Oh, and I've still got my 03 MINI Cooper S, so I'm not leaving the MINI family.

demand is sooooo high for those right now, because of all the problems in japan, MINI has a hard time getting parts for transmissions, so most lots are sitting pretty empty. I would try to sell it everywhere you can think of, cars.com, autotrader.com, in the classifieds here, craigslist, go to carmax, see what they will give you. Anywhere else you can think of selling it..... but now is the absolute best time to sell them, since they cant seem to get new ones in quickly

What's your asking price? I'm in the market.

I doubt you will get what u paid for it. Especially if u try to sell it to a dealer. Dealer will want to buy it 5 or 6 grand back of book in order to sell it at book. Trust me unless you get very lucky your going to take a bath. Is your car paid for or financed?

At this point I'm hoping to get full retail since there are none for sale and there is a long wait. Not sure if that will happen, but it seems a good starting point. So about $39,500. I'll send you a private message in case you want to chat more.

Yeah, we'll see... I see people paying over MSRP right now, so it doesn't seem crazy I could get what I paid out of it. I'm not selling it to a dealer, that clearly won't work. Yes, paid cash for the car so no drama there.

I truly hope you can get it. Even with the lack of availability it may be a tough sell. My 2009 MCS is for sale as well. It's a low miler and is for sale lower than retail book with the balance of factory warranty and 7 yr maintenance warranty but I have had few serious inquiries.

Maybe the right person has already come along for you! I hope so. Anyway I'm still hoping the right person will want to pick up my little gem.

Good luck!
