New countryman owner and one question

Hi, Everyone:

I just bought a new countryman ALL4 (silver/silver) yesterday and I am super excited. I drove the car out twice yesteday just for fun.

I traded in my 2004 CRV LX ($9000 which is $1000 less than KBB value $10000 so I am not sure if it is a good deal or not since this is the first time I do trade in.)
I do got $1000 off MSRP plus free rubber floor mat so hopefully that will offset the lost for my trade in.

Compared with my old CRV, the mini countryman is quiter in smooth road. In bumper road, the noise seems similar to my old CRV.

There is a cosmic blue with black top in the dealer which looks very nice as well but we picked the silver one because we think the silver stands out more.

One question I have is does any one have pictures of silver/silver with black stripes?
I am planning to add black sports stripes but not sure how it looks like under silver/silver top.
I have seen pictures of sliver with black top but not silver with sliver top.

Best regards
Madison

Congrats and welcome Madison! Silver/silver with black stripes should be pretty rare as the configurator doesnt allow any stripes black or white with body color top.. but I'm sure someone out there has the stripes.

I don't know where you are located but if trades are like they are in NY and if you pay sales tax on your car, the value of the trade decreases the total sales tax you pay on the final sale price of the car. For example: if the new car cost $30,000 assuming a 7% sales tax, you would pay $2100 in taxes. But, if you traded a car that was worth $9000 the total sales tax would be based on $30,000-$9,000 = $1470...a savings of $630.. So the trade is sort of worth $9630...not $9000.

There are states where trade ins are taxable. I know that this seams unfair but nobody ever said that taxes or life for that matter is fair.
