Invisishield

I apologize if this question has been answered by others or has an obvious answer. I'm planning to get both bonnet stripes and invisishield on my car. How does this work? Which goes on first? Can I have both?

Any input would be helpful...I've never had stripes OR invisishield on a car before.

When I picked mine up, it had both, the 3m was cut around the stripes. I had it all removed, sport stripes added, then they put the 3m over the top of all. There is a slight height difference because of the stripes, but looks okay.

My wife's Clubman has stripes first, then invisishield, but I know some people on here have the opposite. There shouldn't be an issue either way, though it's probably more noticeable if the stripes aren't completely flat.

They cut around my stripes since I was the first one that got the Invisishield for the CM at my dealership.

What is Invisishield? Does it protect the exterior? Do I have to ask for it or do they automatically put it on?

It's basically an invisible plastic film that goes over the front of your car and bumper to protect from little nicks and dings from stones...

You can read more here: http://www.invisishield.com/

The dealer will usually try to sell it to you when you buy the car - I was quoted $795 for it. It's REALLY good...protects the car and if it gets too dinged up, it can be peeled off and then a new one put on. I think they have a 5 year warranty but don't quote me on that...

It's worth it...you will end up getting rock chips if you don't...

Had the 3M clear bra installed by a 3rd party at the dealership who highly recommended them, over the the stripes.
Did a great job and the dealer had them do all of the four door edges at no charge to me. Has made a big difference here in NE since Feb.
