Geographically yes, but from the stanpoint of alphabetical order it's not a good deal

My MA told me he pushed my order up the list so I'm really bummed to be sitting in order status. Oh well...

 

Just got back from Motor-tober and a thorough inspection of the new Coupe. Very nimble and a blast to drive.

Our MA greeted us with doughnuts, hot coffee and the news that we are now at a 150 status code. He expects us to be in the Body Shop (151) and Paint (152) by Tuesday morning. Well, I can tell you that all this is very welcomed news since the original order was placed 4 months ago!

If you haven't already done so, get down to a Motor-tober event and drive the Coupe. I'm already thinking that when the Roadster comes out in the spring, I may just have to trade in the '04 MCS JCW...

Went to the Motortober event today and also drove a coupe, very nice car. Hard to squeeze wife and 3 kids into that passenger seat though....oh well.

 

There's plenty of room for them in the wayback.

Just out of curiosity, what does your OL tell you? Does it reflect you being in production, or does it still say "on order?"

The OL still reports "scheduled for production". This is one of the issues with the OL. Once your MINI goes into 112 status, the OL won't update your MINI's status until it reaches 155 (production completed). Only your MA can see the transition from 150 through 155 status.

 

Thanks for the info! I know I'm at 112 at least (thanks to my MA, last checked on 10/27), but my OL still says "On Order." It's WAY behind! I guess my poor MA is going to have to deal with daily emails from em for the next week or so... Fortunately, he doesn't seem to mind!

 

Well, considering you're in week #44, you're probably at 150 right now. Remember, it's the weekend and perhaps the standard OL updates aren't run on Saturday/Sunday. Give your MA a call on Monday afternoon. I'll bet you'll suddenly be at a 151 status!

Ann, you're still showing "on order" on the OL? That gives me hope. It must be exciting knowing your baby is going through the creation process.
I sent an email to my MA asking for status today but did not hear back. I want this car, it's starting to get cold in the Sierras.

 

Our "Wini" is scheduled for production and we have a vin. It's awesome to see a change on the OL finally.

 

my OL still says on order, last info i got was the 112, scheduled for daily production pack 10/17/11 - which my MA says my production already started, he estimates that in should be in NJ by mid to early dec. i will get an update, mid next week. koopah are you getting the motortober 750 off?

 

I'm hoping to be part of that group. Unfortunately, I don't have a very responsive MA. Can an MA from another dealership get access to my information?

 

My MINI is still showing "On Order" on the OL, but I contacted my MA this morning. The report is "in production this week or next week", but nothing more definitive. Keeping my fingers (eyes?) crossed.

Just hoping they don't have to do a Caesarean, 'cuz that might mess up the paint!!!

 

As long as we take delivery by Jan 3rd!

 

Talked to my MA today... my CMS has NOT gone into production yet, but is still scheduled for this week. He said that the order is completely locked down, though, and thinks that means it should be in the next couple of days....

We shall see....

No... My OL still just says "on order." No VIN yet. Think I might call ASK MINI after class just for the hell of it... I know they don't have as much info as my MA, but I don't want to harass him again today!

 

just checked with my MA and she says that my status is 112 but no production date shows on the system. She predicts late this week or early next week. Here's hoping.....

The OL is a good idea but a poor implementation. It has not changed a bit since I ordered the BEP back in 05. If I recall correctly the OL still showed the car was on the boat several weeks after I took delivery. One consolation is that I ordered that car on 8/15/05 and took delivery on 2/25/06. That's more than 6 months from order to keys in hand! The CM will end up being about half that.

 

Wow! Six months! I think I might have gone nuts! Thanks for the reassurance. It does help! I called Ask Mini and they said my car was scheduled for a daily production pack on 10/17, but they don't know what day it will actually start production. My MA says this week, so I guess I just have to be patient. I'm trying to avoid emailing him too much, so I'm going to try to wait until Monday to check in with him again. Although I may only make it to Friday!

 

i called the SM at my dealership and he said there is no update, he said he gets updates 3x a day, so as soon as he knows, i will know....i think that is code for "dont call us, we'll call you" lol (i'll call same as you Ann, either this Fri or Mon)
