R60 Bench Seat Availability
What do you hear from your MA? Is s/he checking the status for you?
the SM at herb chambers of mini boston is also perplexed why my status has been stuck at 112 for several weeks. he tried to get some answers out of the regional rep who supposedly is the liason between here and MINI corporate - but no success. the SM actually called me tonight to let me know that he will press for answers (and dates) and wont leave me hanging. so at this point, nobody seems to know what the heck is going on with my countryman...if it wasnt for crappy luck, i wouldnt have any
Have the MA or SM given you the production week information? It is in MINI's online order system (assuming that is HAS been scheduled for production) and can be got by the MA or SM running a report.
If I were them, that's the first place I'd start...
Please let us know!
Congrats! Maybe we'll all be on the same ship!
Now, let's all focus positive energy toward bostonterrier to get his CM moving along!
My MINI is still in production, but my MA thinks she will be done on Friday. I'm really hoping for an 11/11/11 birthday!!! And, as a gov't worker, it will usually land on a holiday, Veteran's Day.
(a thought here...if i dont hear any updates soon...i may start an Occupy Mini Group in Austria...lol)
I wonder if they are prioritizing CM-Ss and CM-S4s over CMs? Wait, oldvintageiron's CM is a base, I think, and it's completed.
my base with about 8k in options is as much as a stripped CM-S4...so, i hope they are not discriminating against us Justas. anyway, i hope all of this craziness is worth it.
thanks oldvintageiron....it seems then that they are running the CMS production line first. congrats on your CM too!

that's awesome.... I, in turn, just received word from my MA this morning. Mine is in production and has a completion date of 11/14.... Let's just hope we can grab a ship right after completion for the long journey stateside....
Hey congrats....hopefully will be shipmates
I'm just starting the process of determining the shipping company: WW or K-Line. It appears that WW is the only one of the two that stops at the NY (NJ) VDC before moving on to the VDC at Charleston. K-Line looks like it's first US port is Baltimore then onward to the Charleston VDC.
I'm using the last seven characters of my VIN as the "cargo ID" on the WW site. I let you know what I find...

From the sf bay area too, went to the concord mini though
So, apparently my CM has been in paint for like 3 days.... I have an estimated completion date of 11/14, but my MA says if it's still in paint, I may not make that date. :( My MA has been awesome about giving me information, but I just wish that Mini itself would provide more, both to him and me! The OL and Ask Mini have been worse than useless--even when I talk to a real person at Ask Mini (although they are all very nice and apologetic that they don't have more info). AND the OL still isn't showing any of my options in the order detail--just a blank box. Le sigh. I just wish we had more info. That said, at least we get SOME info on the build process--I know most car manufacturers don't even give you that much.
Also, my MA forwarded me this about the bench seat/flat load floor thing today (I think it's direct from Mini, although I'm not sure):
Hope that info is helpful!
Also, my MA forwarded me this about the bench seat/flat load floor thing today (I think it's direct from Mini, although I'm not sure):
No one in the MINI World was happier to see the three passenger rear seat bench (4UK) more than I. Now I can stop the payments on the contortionist classes and fit all my offspring in the back without breaking any laws. This rear bench slides and reclines and has a 40/20/40 split for the uprights while the base is a 60/40 split. The center shoulder belt is mounted overhead. Currently, the Countryman comes with rear bucket seats (two-seater) standard. You get one standard load floor and optionally, you can get a second load floor through option 4UL. This means there are two load floors possible with the two-seat rear buckets. This we all know. But with the three-seater rear bench, only one load floor exists for it, so it’s either one or none. In our efforts to offer a premium cargo solution for our customers and to prevent IQS risks, this load floor is part of the rear bench option and adds $250 to the price. We understand that this no longer makes the rear bench a true no-charge option like we’ve previously communicated, but we strongly believe that customers will find this to be the better solution, especially those who prefer the versatility of a variable cargo hold or have canine friends. This load floor is also necessary for the backrests of the seats to be flush with the floor while in the “down” position. All three rear seat position have Latch anchors behind the seats. The center LATCH anchor point is in the rear of the cargo area while the two outer anchor points are in the same location that we already are familiar with. On the front side, the center child seat will share the two inboard attachment points for the outside child seat positions. This is ideal if you have only one seat in the car but what does that mean if you put three child seats in the back that have huge child seat attachment clips? To address this, you can mount the two outboard child seats to the usual attachment points and the center child seat would then use the regular seat belt (lap and shoulder) to hold it in. The dedicated LATCH anchor in rear would still work here.

Thanks much for the update, Ann! My MINI is still in production as well, as has been for over the estimated week. Perhaps some issue at the factory they needed to sort out? My details on the OL are still all listed, but no changes since it was posted last week (I guess that's good). Sorry to hear it will cost an extra $250 for the flat load floor, but at least it will be installed when it arrives!
