en route

the OL now states "awaiting transport" for my CM...never thought i'd make it this far. and if the OL is some days behind...maybe it even already jumped on a ship --okay, now i'm being too optimistic

i just corrected the above...i am actually in awaiting transport status today.

If the OL says Enroute, then you're most definitely floating!
Congrats!

Well.....

My MA says my CM is on the boat....

Not sure what boat as it still doesn't show on the W & W site, maybe it went by a different carrier?

Sounds like my car will be here early December after all

I just got an email from my MA and mine in on a boat too. Still not showing up on WWL and the 1-866 ASK MINI is still saying closed for the Labor Day Holiday. No telling what ship it's on since they are way behind on their updates but at least they do give you a good idea of what's going on.

My car must be on a different carrier....

My MA updated me again today, says the car should hit the port on 12/5.

Assuming no long delays at the VDC should definitely get my CM before Xmas!

@runningman - do you know what port you'll be entering? mine was complete a day later than yours and my MA didn't know any more details than its at the port...

I assume I'm heading to NY.

As far as I know, its still going to Brunswick, Georgia

If you have a copy of your Vehicle Inquiry Report from when you placed your order (your MA should have sent you a copy early on) in the upper right hand corner it says Port Loc: (in my case) SSIPOA (which is Brunswick)

You can look up your location code in the sticky thread on "Tracking your order"

My MA reports that my CM is still sitting at the port in Bremerhaven, so she must have missed the last ship to Baltimore. I may have to rename her "Turtle"! I'm seriously hoping it's on the Taiko on the 5th (moved from the 3rd), as my RAV4 check engine light just went on again this weekend! My MINI is seeming like a cheaper ride at this point!

Thanks so much for the info and congratulations! I think our build dates were really close to one another so it would be nice if both our cars were traveling together.

My MA is impossible to get to. I went to the dealership last Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday to test drive a CPO 328 xDrive but I decided to stick with he CM. My MA was MIA on all three occasions but I have talked to the MINI manager. He commited to call me tomorrow morning with a definite update on the whereabouts of my car. They assured me they would work with MINI so I don't lose the rebate if the car is not delivered by Jan 3rd.

The wait and lack of info is frustrating, but it will all be over in a few weeks regardless of when it ships out.

that's good to hear that they will work with you so that you don't loose out on the motor tober rebate. I was able to track the dorado leader and it seems to be chugging along... it's currently near portsmouth so we'll see how it advances thru the days.....

I was actually able to get ahold of my MA finally. On Friday, he updated me that my nameless CMS was still at the port in Germany. I think there must be several west coasters that didn't make the Mignon, because I think we'd know by now.

It's going to be close...

The Glorious Leader has docked in Halifax, NS. Our CMS is sooo close I can SMELL it. Well, it's either that or the dog is eating shoes again.

The GL is due in NY/NJ on Thursday and our new bench-seated CMS will be on US shores. Could the GL hold the very first batch of bench-seated CMs in the US? Anyone on an earlier ship?

We'll be at the VDC for a bit getting driving lights and the red mirror caps & brake ducts. Then onward to CT for stripes and delivery!

I keep hearing the 60 Minutes theme music...

Hey Congrats Koopah...

I bet your car is among the first benchers in the States.

My ship (don't know which it is unfortunately) is due to dock in GA on Monday. I don't think I will be getting anything done at the VDC, getting windows tinted at the dealer. Suppose outside chance of seeing mine late next week, more likely the week of the 12th.

runningman,
Does Ask Mini or the OL say you're Enroute? Mine was completed right after yours and seems to be in a black hole (or just feels that way). I think I missed the Topeka and the Don Juan sails today and I can't find any info on either. I'm wondering if I'm floating and don't know it.

SpeedyDD- I nearly named mine "elf" because mine was started on 11/11/11, but I am going with "Corduroy" as it is corduroy appreciation day! I hope that Corduroy is ready to board a ship!

Wow! I so would have gone with "Corduroy" had I known about the event that day! Wanna switch?! And, if it's not too personal, what is the meaning of "signelf"?

Congrats.... yes, I do believe you'll be the first bencher.... I'm holding my breath that my MA is right that my car is indeed on a ship... the Dorado Leader. I've been tracking it since yesterday and it looks like it just passed Cherbourg, France. Still a long way to go..... Vive Le France....

Sooner,

My MA emailed on Saturday that my CMS was on a boat and due to arrive on 12/5. MINI OL finally updated to enroute on Sunday. Considering its 17-21 days typically to cross, I figure my car must have actually boarded a boat around a week before, the 17th or 18th.

It still doesn't show up on Wallenius website so it must have gone by a different carrier. I don't have the name of the ship it's on.

So it was already floating probably a week before I knew it or the site was updated, still hope for you as well!

You know, considering you will be arriving only 4 days after our CMS hits the shores AND you aren't having any work done at the VDC (hopefully!), you may take delivery before we do! If so, my prediction that you will be "first" may come true!

Anyhoo, first to take delivery MUST take many pictures of the bench and post them -- agreed?

(tick...tick...tick...tick..tick........)

signelf...not too personal. I am a small woman, who makes signs for a living, primarily for a trade show. I often install signs at night. One of my clients, who left his showroom at midnight and returned at 7 am announced that the signelf had come!

runningman, my CMS is also slated to hit our shores on 12/5 and is on the Chesapeake Highway (K-Line), so maybe yours is, too? Departure was 11/24. I can't wait!
