Even though it was unlikely to happen, mny MA told me they would honor the Motor-tober discount even after 1/3. Others on here have said the same thing. Check with the dealer, but it shouldn't be a problem. However, as always, get it in writing signed by the manager.

 

The Chesapeake Highway must have got delayed. It's now showing arriving in Brunswick GA on Dec 7th.

 

Anyone find out if they are on the Taiko, en route to Baltimore yet? I'm still showing up as No Records Found....

 

I don't believe the ship has sailed yet, and it may be at least a couple days until it shows up on the WW site cargo log, and even longer for the MINI OL. The quickest route is to check with your MA, as once it has been deposited at the port, it is their car and their responsibility to assure that it gets to your dealership and off their books. I expect to hear something by midweek.

 

I am so haPpy to say that I have finally joined the ranks. Ordered my ALL4 in July and was finally able to log in to the OL today to find my baby is awaiting transport. Unfortunately it also says I am getting white tunnel spokes instead of the anthracite I ordered, hopefully the delivery dealership in GA can switch them out for me.
I'm really hoping to pick it up over Christmas break when I am already planning to be in GA.
My baby girl is getting the Mini Convertible power wheels for Christmas so hopefully I won't be too jealous of her for long.

 

This is why it's so incredibly important to check the specs on the OL once your car is listed there. This is at least the third instance that I've read about on here where the dealer entered the order wrong. Mine ordered it as all SO when the written spec sheet that I signed clearly said black roof/mirrors. He had to place a whole new order, but both the wrong and the right car ended up on the same ship, thank goodness. Congratulations on your car being finished and at the dock. That's an important milestone in this long and frustrating process. I'm sure he'll be abler to swap them out for you. Someone else on here said the dealership gave them some grief about it, but ultimately just ordered them from the warehouse and would have them in a couple of days.

 

Thanks for the support. I ordered through a military sales program in Germany and Mini USA didn't recognize I existed until it got to the port and entered the US dealers inventory. At least I am finally getting my Mini, I have wanted one as long as I can remember. Maybe I should ask Santa for a good detailing kit.

 

After a wait in Bremerhaven that seemed like forever, my CM is finally on a ship, sailing westward, with only a stop in Southhampton, UK before it reaches Baltimore, USA! The Taiko (a Norwegian vessel with a Japanese name) is scheduled to arrive there on the 16th. Here's hoping for good weather on the rest of her trip! Oh, and for those checking, it is showing up on the WW with just the last 7 digits of the VIN (but not with all of them), and is still "awaiting transport" on the MINI OL and still at the port on ASK-MINI.

^ This sounds kinda dumb, but are you sure you have the right VIN? My MA gave me the wrong VIN initially. I couldn't track my car until it docked nearly a week after

 

Not dumb at all ... I got it from the OL and just now double-checked it to make sure I wasn't having a senior moment. Right VIN. I told my MA if we needed to forgo my port-installed options to insure delivery before Jan 3, we can keep that option in our back pocket. I can get the red mirror caps and intakes installed aftermarket and I can get the striping done locally.

After seeing all the cool and unique striping on NAM, I'm thinking I should have a blank white canvas delivered vs. the red pitchfork striping I ordered.

 

anybody have any news on the Dorado Leader. I've been trying to track it since last week and according to marinetraffic.com, it's still out of range. Last position tracked was back on the 30th of November. I guess I'm getting antsy in knowing where it is....

 

I'm on a boat! Well, Barnaby is, at any rate! My MA emailed me this morning with the news that my CMS left Bremerhaven yesterday and is expected in Brunswick, GA on 12/16. Unfortunately, this doesn't appear to be a WW ship, so I'm not sure how to find out which ship it is or how to track it. Anyone know how to get this info?

I know the Taiko left yesterday, but it looks like it's not stopping in Brunswick, although it is scheduled into Savannah on the 17th. My VIN doesn't show up on the WW tracking site, either.

 

Ann, I got similar info today from a source here on NAM, not my MA. I had the same question since the Taiko won't be coming to Brunswick. Whatever ship it is, I think I"m on it with you!!! Whoever gets the name first gets a winner winner chicken dinner.

I'm so glad to hear you're on the ship with me! When I got the email from my MA this morning, my first thought (of course) was "YAY!" My second thought was "Oh, man, I'm going to feel so guilty if SoonerMack is still at the port!" Glad your baby is on its way, too!

Hmmm... my last final exam is on the 15th. If I jump in my car right after I get out at 4:00, I could probably be in Brunswick in time to watch them roll Barnaby off the ship.... Actually, probably the only thing keeping me from doing that is the fear that my current car wouldn't make it to GA and back.

 

I'm cracking up that you thought about me 2nd ... I did the same thing. Funny how you bond with different people through this process. Now I need to stop buying stuff and start saving for my window tint.

I'm ready for the next 3 Phases of CM ownership:
1. Delivery of car and posting of the obligatory single pic pre-mod.
2. Multi-pic posting post-mod in a very cool place, i.e. beach, mountain, old mill, etc.
3. Two weeks of MIA due to being BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A NEW COUNTRYMAN!!!
