Lightbulb Cleared out the front corner bulbs

I've been using this trick since I had my 2001 E46 BMW. Pull the corner bulbs and hit them with a light coat of silver hi temp paint. They still blink orange and the front turn signals never looked better...

I have the Sport Package, which gives you a clear lens on the front turn signals. Unfortunatly, they're backed by orange bulbs. On my T-Bird and Ranger, I switched over to chromed bulbs (that light up amber). I may have to give this option a try.

Thanks!

The chrome bulbs are a nicer version of painting them. If you put to much paint on the bulbs they dont blink bright. The chrome blink very bright.. But I always have silver spray paint around.. I do it on all my rides.. Motorcycles too..

Great way to save a buck too. What brand of paint did you use? I have some high-temp fireplace paint, but it's grey. I am thinking it will be too dark.

Nice! I did the same thing to mine. Looks exactly the same as yours. Mine shine bright as they always did.

I always switched to Osram Diadems, easier than painting them. I think this time I'm going with LED's though.

I was thinking to do the same. Do you have a link by any chance to a swap-out replacement ? Thx.

Wow that looks great, thank you for the pic.

So are the front turn signals the same as the back, just a different color? From the OP's first pic, they looked a little different. Is that just a mounting bracket for the bulb?
