Cool things i found.

Someone started something like this but i can not find it.

So the few things that surprized me..

1. The tacometer orange display turns blue in bright sun light.
2. When in guidence but not on navigation, say sat radio, you get a old school nav image pop up when you need to turn. Very space invaders old school. Luv it.
3. Intermitten wipers are cool. Go slowly when not much rain, faster when rain gets harder. Best bit is will stop when at traffic lights and bearly raining. Never expected it to work as good as this.
4. I knew the ambient light was in doors but did not realize was in door handles and roof control area.
5. Super bright lights.

I know we all have problems with various things, mine is voice dialing, funny engine blip, connect cable and a few others things.

I just felt it was time to start a positive post for once one the surprizing
things people have found.

Hi Alan, do you have xenons or halogens? I'm debating whether I require xenons or can settle for halogens in my build. I've never had HID's before but if the halogens' spread is good and bright enough then I can live with them

This is a no-brainer. Opt for the xenons. They are incredible.

I have the apdative xenons. I am having a hard time seeing the adaptive part work. Perhaps not been on enough twisty roads at night. So can not say that part is worth the $100 but for sure the xenons are.

I also have the adaptive xenons. You have to set the lights control to the A position to enable the adaptive operation. If they're enabled, they're pretty obvious. Wonderful capability.

As the other poster said, make sure they're set in the right position or they don't work. I wasn't going to get them, but I ended up buying a car off the lot that had them, and I love them. That's definitely an option that sounded a little silly to me on paper but turned out to be amazing in action.

Ok adaptive lights are cool and for sure should be on the list. Made sure the lights were in the correct setting and took a quick drive round the neighborhood. First time not really sure i was seeing anything. Second time round weaved in the road a little rather than drive straight and wow there they are. Moral of the story, don't drive like a baby. 565 miles can not wait for 1200 and then can let rip and see these wonderful lights in full glory.

thanks for the tip.

Of all the options that we got on our CM the Xenons, BY FAR, are the most valuable of the options we selected. Highly recommended.

This thread was worth just finding out how to use the adaptive lights properly... I thought mine were not working.

That would have been good for the MA to explain in more detail, they mentioned the Automatic light mode but seemed to think it just turned on and off the headlights automatically (perhaps it also does that).

I didn't know that the lines to the gas tank are shut off during coasting. It also surprised me to find that my baby is protective of me on hills; he pulls back slightly as he coasts down to ensure that I'm not going too fast! ^____^

i realized that the the car remembers different radio presets and temp settings for each key, i thought all my presets were erased when i used the other key! and i know i didnt leave the AC on! very handy for two drivers with different musical tastes!

Yep it also turns them on and off automatically if you have them on auto mode. I always leave them on auto and I never really have to mess with them again. Handy little feature.

HA! I thought the same thing the other day! I had to do all my presets all over again. That's pretty cool.

Have you moved the microphone from the British side to the American side?

Well, the center toggle between the window switches - - - if alll your doors are locked and you push it down, they all unlock. Or if they are unlocked and you push it down, they lock. Or if they are locked and you push it up, they unlock. Or if they are unlocked and you push it up, they lock.

Sealy - who really found that it doesn't matter which way you push the door lock switch.

The harness to the microphone is very short. I dropped the whole upper console right down to removing the T-20 screws and opted back to the British side.

Anyone else notice that you can't get odd temperatures with the climate control (automatic, on mine)? What do you do if 64 is too cold and 66 is too warm?
