I really like the adaptive xenons. An excellent choice, right up there with getting the manual transmission on my CM4.

But I also like the amber turn signals in back and the rear fog light arrangement available in Europe but not in the U.S.

Awesome! Thanks for posting that video! Definitely adding that when I order my CM.

I know I can open my sunroof & windows when walking up to the car by holding the un-lock button down on the remote...but is there a trick to re-closing windows/roof via my remote?

What I do now: get in, insert the remote in the dash, hit start/stop to activate electrics then hit the dash window switches and overhead roof switch.

Also, is there a one-touch open or close on the windows and/or roof? Haven't found it, maybe I've missed something...

only if you have the comfort access, if you do, you can close it all up using the physical key in the door handle by holding it after the door locks, otherwise... like in my case... i can only close it up from inside

I know we all have problems with various things, mine is voice dialing, funny engine blip, connect cable and a few others things.

quote]

YES.. Funny engine blip is annoying as hell.. At least I know Im not crazy and Im not the only one it happens too.. Anyone else notice how hard it downshifts into 1st gear sometimes? Mine drops hard. Not always, but enough to notice and I'm not in sport mode..

YES to the connect cable.. Biggest piece of crap. Wont stay connected at all. And why is it 6 inches long? Really?

and I wish my Mini had the adaptive headlights.. My old BMW had them, it was nice..

Ok! And there is a possibility I may be wrong but...when I have my windows down, I mainly unlock the door and use the buttons to close them. Mind you, this is all done without my having put the key in. ^____^ Ji Hoo and I had just come back from our daily drive when my mom asked me to unlock my hatch to get something. When she was finished she told me to close my windows. Of course I "grrrrr"ed and being the lazy-bear that I am decided to get into the car just to see if they would go up without my putting the key in the ignition..........When it worked I was like "HA!"

I've seen a couple of people say that, and I really think its a case of wanting something you can't have (although I'm sure they would be easy enough to get), the US rear lights really look so much better, why would you want to add another color?

I prefer amber turn signals because there's less ambiguity and wish they were mandatory in the US. There's too many people that drive around with burnt out taillights, and sometimes you don't know if they have their blinker on or if they just have one functional taillight left. I don't really care what looks better.

I'm pretty sure it's because the AC actually uses Celsius and not Fahrenheit. If 64 is too cold, try putting it on 66 and turning on the recirculate feature. You get higher air flow that way, which should help.

Hey can someone explain to me what the lights that come on solid in the rear (seen on the left at 0:44) are? Thanks.

Parking lights

Those solid lights are probably "parking lights" which are used in Europe when the car is parked at night on the street.

The bright light on left at 44 second mark is the rear fog light. It's mandatory equipment in Europe. Some European cars offer them in the US although people here don't seem to understand they should only be used under greatly reduced visibility.

But wouldn't both rear fogs come on at the same time instead of separately as they are in the video?

Generally, you only get one rear fog light and it replaces the back 'em up light. I believe what you are seeing here is first the fog light on the left, then the back up light on the right.

Correct. The typical rear fog light is only a single light located on the side of the car that is closest to the centerline of the roadway (side on which the driver sits). In the UK, the fog light would be on the right side of the rear and the backup light on the left. Ergo, the CM in the video is a left-hand drive model.

64 + 1 = 65, which is exactly my point. You don't get any odd numbers.

Sealy - Who expects a little more flexibility for $38K

Sealy - who really found that it doesn't matter which way you push the door lock switch.
This has been driving me crazy for weeks! Our R53 worked the same way as every other car with power locks that I've ever driven...down to lock and up to unlock. Why would the CM need to be different? Somewhere in Germany some crazy BMW engineer is reading my post and smiling because he got his revenge

Open/close/re-aim the vents. You can make it work
