Thumbs up Pure Red S - Ordered and Waiting

Put the order in on Saturday at Alexandria. Pure Red & White, carbon lounge, chrome, all packages. The wait begins.

Who did you work with in Alexandria? Did you have a trade in? Did you play them off of Sterling/Towson/Annapolis?

P.S. I was in there on Saturday taking a test drive at around 11. haha.

Worked with Vinnie - got a $1K discount from msrp. Traded in a Mercedes CLK - long story, don't even ask. The way MINI is working this, they realy are not interested in what other dealers are doing - mainly because they are all doing the same thing. Countrymen are selling quite well without much negotiation.

I was talking with Ahmed. He was saying they would stick to KBB and maybe take off $100 here or there for certain things, like some body damage. My Solara convertible is 10 years old with 105K.

Living with a Solara for 10 years will knock 1,000 years off your time in purgatory when the time comes. Mercedes was 2 years old and had a couple of miles on it.

Yeah, it's time for a new car. But is it time for a car payment? Uggh, that's not so appealing.

Is yours an All4?

Negative - had to shave a few items to compensate for the Mercedes. Decided All4 in DC wasn't critical. It also lightens the load and gives a little more scoot.

I was thinking the same. We just don't get bad weather consistent or often enough to really REQUIRE it.

Sterling offered me $1,000 off, while Passport offered $750. Both participate in Costco's program. I called Annapolis, my first choice, to give them a chance to match, and they matched $750 as "a loyalty [I have owned BMWs since 2000] customer discount". They don't participate in any buying programs. I went with Annapolis because Sterling's fees would eat up the $250 difference and Annapolis is most convenient for me. Baltimore offered no discount.

I went with Passport as the most convenient and Vinnie has been putting up with me for a while. I figure the $250, in my case, went for the anthracite cockpit trim.
