Weathertech is pretty much the industry standard. Never heard of anyone unsatisfied with them - I've used them for years on multiple cars. They're also the brand BMW uses, after they put their logo on and ups the price.

Oh, and thank you R 'n R for the tip. I'll mosey on over there and have a look.

Do they look better in person, cause they look awful on the web site (generic picture). The Mini all weather mats look better in comparison. Really wish they made Monster type mats like in VW/Audi's for the Mini, best mats ever.

+1 on this

Used the Weathertechs on two successive AWD minivans that I later sold to family. Pretty good, though the quasi generic scissors cutting you had to do (and that was more extensive in the rears) didn't give it a top end look. Rubber was done by about 100K miles, and more quickly in tan than in black. The Audi ones are still the best I have found for that vehicle application; more robust than the factory Mini's I have for the coupe though those are pretty good overall--finish, fit and adequate outside lip.

I've been using Husky floor mats for years in a number of different SUV's we've owned amd have been very satisfied. They have a lip around them to contain water of the melted snow from your boots.

The Weather Tech doesn't seem to have that retaining lip towards the door.

From the pictures on their website it appears that any water on the mat would just run down toward the door and be held there until you open the door and let it out. It also doesn't appear that those photos were taken from inside a CM since the peddles aren't the same.

How do the Weather Tech mats compare to Mini's floor mats in that aspect?

On the US website, $159.90 for the front and rear. On the Canadian website, $198.90. I guess they don't realize our dollar is at par.

Good call on that. I am going to call them for a price adjustment tomorrow.

Another alternative: Cocomats

I got some of these mats when I first got my '02 MCS:

http://www.cocomats.com/custom.htm

I really liked them a lot. I plan to get some for my new Countryman, when they have an exact fitting available for the CM.

The only issue I had before was the rubber portion under the heel wasn't quite right, so after a while I wore a small hole behind the mat. I'm going to mention that when ordering...

The Weathertech mats look really nice too, but the Cocomats have a much more natural feel and look.

Let me know if they adjusted the price for you. I'd like to order a set and I would like to know what to "offer".

Well, their response was that they have to pay brokerage fees, GST/HST, etc. Doesn't really stand up to reason. It's not like they order one set from the US at a time. If you have success getting them to budge on the price, I would be happy to know.

Honestly, why don't we just join the US as the 51st state? We can give them healthcare and they can give us their buying power.

Same old crap that Canadian companies usually pull due to a lack of competition.

Let me know how they fit when you get them. I gather they are the digitalfit version?

Yes. They are the only ones I buy. I don't even have problems in the winter with my pant hems getting wet for some reason. I love the fit.

Weather Tech mats and cargo liner

I've used Weather Tech products for many years. After buying the MINI, I bought them and immediately looked to find a product that restores the "luster or sheen" to them WITHOUT MAKING THEM SLIPPERY. Well, I think I found one that many of you may like/try...it is called Duragloss 321, Non Silicone Dressing. You may be able to find it locally at some autoparts stores.

Thanks for this. I'll give it a try to hopefully get my mats back to looking new again.

Picked up buddy today and the weathertech mats (which actually came first) are a fantastic fit! Mold very nicely into the wells - I highly recommend them!

@jmdor, pictures of your All4 and closeup of those mats or perhaps I will see them in person sometime.

Congratulations.

How long did the mats take to arrive. Our CMS should be here in about 2 weeks. Please post some pics. Would really appreciate seeing how they look before I order them. Thanks in advance.

~Cheers

FYI, I just called Weather-tech (MacNeil Automotive) before placing order via their website. Was told every order is custom made and takes appox. 12 business days before shipping.

They may be covering to allow for some float time in their schedule -- I ordered 3/20 and they were here 3/25.

Pics

Okay, per request, here are the weathertech mats -- the black actually is darker than in the pic (too bright sunlight?) and matches perfectly. You see the driver front, a rear mat, and the passenger front.
