Those Pure Reds are getting around. Saw one with black strips at a cafe in Magnolia Texas today. Only have seen one other CM on the road down here in H-town area.

 

Chase & I were in San Francisco for the last 24 hours. Saw 4 Countrymans! a couple of Coopers and a couple of Cooper S's.

We didn't get any waves, though :(

maybe there should be a proximty detector built into the next update of MINI Connected?

 

Evidently our local new Iowa dealer is off to a pretty successful start...have seen 3 Countrymen in the past two days....an "orange", White/black and an all-silver...the latter one looked the best (to me!)

 

Spotted a silver Countryman with black wheels at a 7-2-11 gas station here in Farmington, NM. First one I've seen since I bought mine about a month ago - had to do a double take LOL

 

Have you seen Invasion of the Body Snatchers? There's a Pure Orange pod out there with your name on it. When you least expect it . . . .

I didn't get a chance to snap a picture but it finally happened...white with black roof in downtown Ramsey, NJ.

pistolpepe33, that could almost have been me in your picture...I was in Secaucus last week and mine is grey with the black roof, but I have a black license plate frame and sports stripes.

 

Now I've seen two CM in Sunnyvale, CA. First a PO with black on ECR, then a LC with black crossing ECR this morning. I thought I was dreaming that Fenton had arrived - but to someone else!

 

I still haven't seen one other than mine. I'm kind of enjoying that.

Within two hours of our picking it up, a bicyclist stopped next to us and asked about it. That was cool too.

 

I too liked it best when I hadn't seen any others...made me feel unique. And it is cool when you see people checking it out or they ask you about it. I haven't had a car that got this kind of attention in a while.

 

The other day i finally saw a Pure Red that looked exactly like mine. I pointed at him and he pointed at me...I thought the same matter can exist at the same place at the same time?

 

Oh no! Don't let them touch, it will cause a time paradox and the universe will explode!

 

Wow! It looks like the lifetime of uniqueness is less than 2 months.

From none present in the environment to encountering your doppelgänger in less time than it has taken me to go from order to arrival.

 

The white one with the black roof made another appearance and it turns out it's an All4, just like mine.

I saw it parked on Main Street in my town...taunting me..."you're no longer unique..."

 

You could always try the bumblebee yellow... I mean how many of those are you going to see?

 

You know, I saw a yellow one with a black roof at New Country (I see you got yours there from the same salesman as me) and if it had had the options I wanted, I probably would have gotten it. Add some black sport stripes and you'd have a unique, cool looking car.

 

Yeah, we had a few discussions about inventory and what I wanted before taking one home in March. There were a few good comments about how long that Yellow might stay at the dealership. I guess there hasn't been much call for yellow.

I wonder if there is a color poll kicking around on the forums to check out the breakdown... hrm.

Even though I have mine now, I have this odd addiction to keep checking inventory and pricing from near by dealers. I need to take that energy and turn it into making mine even more unique, off to the modification section I go!

 

I finally saw two Countryman's in Southern Arizona in the last week - - a Pure Orange and a Silver. Haven't seen any all this time out in the wild up until now. I should hopefully be picking mine up this weekend.

 

Actually, the people who were picking their car after me took the yellow one with the white top, so I think they moved it just fine.

 

Good to hear, the Yellow was there for a bit as I bounced between ordering & waiting versus compromising a little to drive one off the lot. Maybe people just needed spring weather to get out and buy a car.

Back to subject... I still haven't seen one in the North East of CT. The best reaction was when I went to Vermont and watched a guy on the otherside of the highway in Cooper convertable do a complete head swivle as I drove in the other direction. Thought he might drive off the road.

 

I still haven't seen a wild one yet, but a lady stopped me outside Trader Joe's and told me about owning a Mini in England when she was young. She really enjoyed the fact that her economy car from her twenties had grown up into a semi-luxury AWD. I guess that means the MINI styling still says "Mini."

 

It took a trip to Philadelphia (from Seattle), but I finally saw a CM parked on the lawn at a graduation party this past weekend. That's 1.

 

The day after I picked my CMS up I saw a all white CM. It was on I-75 north of Cincinnati.
