I have yet to see one here in CT, but I know one of our brethren here has one and is in the next town. Perhaps I should meet him at a Starbucks so we can each say we saw one in the wild.
I have been buzzed 'Top Gun' style a few times by other inquisitive Minis just checkin' him out. At the Costco filling station the other day the attendant said: 'how'd you get your Mini so big?' I said that he was just happy to see the sexy red MCS in the next row.

The phenomenon is actually pointing to the fact that the car in question has always been around, just that you didn't notice any until you bought one. Since there aren't really that many CMs on the roads yet, they aren't there to suddenly take notice of.

Hey Dave, and I have yet to see another Countryman in the wild! I guess ones at Northwest MINI don't count :-)

No sightings in SF Bay Area

Have yet to see one outside of the dealer showroom floor.

Tons of Minis in SF and on Peninsula too; more first gen. ones actually then second gen's.

Saw one lone R56 on an entire trek to Tahoe and back (in an AWD Audi A6 4.2 w/ Dunlop M3 snows) up in the Sierras during a heavy storm. They all seem to go inside (along with most Euro non AWD's) in favor of SUV's, Subaru's and a few Audis and Volvo AWD's during the mountain winters.

If I'm not counting the few I saw in France, you certainly can't count Portugal. Unless of course you were driving a Countryman and they waved at you, that's worth something. ;-)

I actually saw one driving by my house two weeks ago

And then saw it again last week! It's in my neighborhood and is white/black top, which will be the same as mine (different wheels however). I'm searching constantly!

There is a white one with a black top around me, too. I've seen it twice in the parking lot at the local grocery store. I saw a True Blue at the mall before Christmas, which is what prompted us going to "just have a look" at the CM to begin with .

I've seen just one parked in a parking lot near my office. I'm not counting the ones on test drives around the local dealer. That's more like bees around the hive -- not out in the wild.

None near me yet either. And I live about a mile from the nearest dealership. Go figure...

We live about a mile or so from our dealer and I have only seen the one this past weekend. Surprised I haven't seen more. I'm guessing since the next closest dealer is about 100 miles away that CM's are being bought at our dealer from people that live all over, thus not seeing many.

Spotted - Smurf justa with a white roof travelling west on Research Forest Drive in The Woodlands, Texas. I'd like to say I got a big wave back, but, waving, flashing lights and a horn beep did not even get a glance in my direction. Papa Smurf must have had something on his mind. I was directly behind for a while and pulled up beside.

According to my MA there have been about a dozen sold at the dealership here.

Bill - I'll be looking for you soon up in the Woodlands. I pick up mine tomorrow. I live in Spring but head to the Woodlands often.

I have been looking for CM roaming in the wild since mid Jan and the last two days I have seen one each day... In Chicago I saw a black on black in linclon park. Then yesterday in a taxi on my way to the pulse art fair I saw a blue with black strips and black top. 24 days until the arrival of my orange red baby!!!

Hey, it's closer to the little blue guys than any waves I ever saw!

I saw a CM in the wild just a couple of days ago - the 1st real one I've seen since the nearest dealer is quite far away. It's nice! not as huge as I imagined and recognizably the MINI brand. I was at a stop sign and the car behind me was very patient while I looked.

Not yet!

I've had Clive for two months now - more than 4,000 miles motored. Still haven't seen another Countryman in the Indianapolis area. I know there's one out there somewhere!

When I get the chance to use the CM, I don't see any in the area, I know they have sold a bunch here in Colorado.

I do see one each day as the wife parks in the garage after work.

Really need to get some drive time in the CM.

I've yet to see one but I do have a friend who says he has.

Of course he believes in the Lock Ness Monster so I'm not sure we should be listening to him.
