Annette talked to our MA today. Apparently my Countryman has been on a K-Line ship for a couple or three days, scheduled to arrive St. Simons Island (SSI) 2/28/11. Yeeeeeea!

Annette's freshly born MCS is apparently sitting at port. Since England is closer, I guess it is a race now to see who's car gets here first. Going to be very weird with two new MINIs at once. I'm sure "The Dragon" is quaking in fear.

Who will be the first Grp 5er to post a picture of their new MINI? I think I am near the tail end, but some of the early people should be getting delivery soon. You will post pictures want you?

MacMitch, you will probably be the first of week 5 to receive your Countryman, seems those that your delivery location is one that receives multiple ships a week. MY VDC is in NYC which only has 1 ship in a week.

For those on the Elektra, it has shown up on this side of the Atlantic. But, for some unknown reason, is not going to get into Halifax today as the original itinerary projected.

Talking almost here

My Countryman came into port on Friday. It has been released for transport.

Looks like Inomini is ahead by a length coming down the home stretch ;-)

I hope Annette's is on a ship now. The Toyota Corolla she got as a rental replacement for El Kabong just isn't cutting it.

My Countryman all4 is at the dealer in Columbus Ohio. I am supposed to pick it up tomorrow morning. Only problem is I have to get my 2002 MCS out of my driveway. My driveway is long and uphill and has 6 inches of ice & snow on it.

not easy to shovel when the driveway is almost 3 tenths of a mile. The bad part is the snow blowers auger locked up this morning.

I'll take your word for it.

I live near San Diego and can't remember the last time I've seen real snow...

I understand inomini our drive is 900-1000 feet to the house and several hundred more down a steep hill to the dog club building. Just got the whole thing repaired from winter damage. We had around 8" of snow and ice that lasted a week here, very unusual for North Metro Atlanta. But spring is nocking on the door here now, even got up to 70 a few days ago. If I could get there with the tractor....

Mine is due in Savanna Monday and Atlanta is not to far away.

Well, after 5 or six attempts I made it up the driveway. The last attempt I backed the 2002 MCS into the garage and came out full bore and made it. The new Countryman is even better than I thought it would be. The surf blue and white really looks good. So hard to be sure when looking at the paint chips.

Congrats! your #1, your #1, your #1........

I guess I will be battling it out for the #2 spot now.

Does anyone know if they come with some sort of floor mats? I ordered a rubber mat for the boot but nothing for the passenger compartment. I thought I would give our MINI parts stores time to come up with new cool stuff. Plus there is Annette's old collection of mats for El Kabong. The rubber foul weather mats that I think MINI makes actually look about like what I need. They look like they have a small rim to contain liquids, perish the thought!

Teleigh, is yours on a K-line?
Did you order from Global or South Atl?

I don't think they do, but since you're such a good customer they shuold throw them in for you for free. The GSM for my dealer is throwing them in for me. I was apparently their first sales lead when they opened up the new dealership.

I ordered from Global. It's on Arcadia Highway which is a K-line. I saw where you said you haven't seen any in the ATL area, and I haven't either.

So, our 2 CMs are probably on the same ship since ours was originally set to dock on the 28th I'm guessing it's now coming in tomorrow. Who is your MA, Teleigh? Did your MA give you a guesstimate on the date you would be able to pick up?

Funny you should ask, because I've been trolling around trying to see what I can expect as far as time from Brunswick to my garage. It looks like anything from a few days to a couple of weeks. My MA hasn't given me an ETA. I sold my car a week ago, and now have my daughter's car she brought me from college to use. It would be nice to know. I don't want to leave her without one for too long. I couldn't pass up the sale of mine on my own. I made soooooo much more than they were going to give me on my trade in. Can I say my MA's name on here? ob-ray in pig latin just in case.

What do you mean you were supposed to be in on the 28th? Did they tell you your ship? ob-ray also said it would arrive in port on the 3rd, but the tracking says the 1st. Folks on here seem to think you should go with the tracking info. idk. I don't know what I'm doing anymore. I hope yours is on the same ship!

When I got the first shipping info from our MA (Neil) he told me it should arrive in Brunswick around the 28th. When I called to check in with him the following week he was reading from the daily printout and said ours was due to dock on 3/1(this was on 2/22). I know it only takes 5 hours to get from Brunswick to Atlanta, but don't know how long it takes to actually get through VDC and onto the freight truck.
We are kind of in the same boat (so to speak ). My '06 MCS was totaled the week after my husband (MacMitch) ordered his CM, so I have been in a rental for the last 4 weeks, insurance only pays for the rental for 30 days so we have to turn in the car on Wednesday or start paying for it out of our pocket. So we will be sharing his truck until his CM gets here.
Annette
