I would think you should probably make the 2/10 departure....fingers crossed.

Mine was released to the carrier for transport today also. How long does it take to ship to Bremerhaven?

I think it varies. Mine took about 5 days before it got on a train but once it did it was there very fast. I think it took somewhere in the range of 5-7 days for mine to get to port once production was completed. I'm guessing your's is coming into Baltimore since you probably ordered from Cincinnati Mini (just guessing). That would mean the first ship out would be the Oberon scheduled to leave this Saturday.

Cool. There is always a slim chance you might make it on a Saturday boat...you never know. Looks like we have close to twins in our CM builds too!

Looks like most are heading for a ship. I was a day or two behind but will call tomorrow to see if mine is done. I need just a little giddy-up to catch up and make the ship with the rest of you.

I checked first thing this morning. Robo-Mini has stated that my vehicle is In-Transit so I guess it was released to the train.

What port do MINIs in Oklahoma arive at? It seems that the west coast ships are much further apart than the east coast.

I'm not sure, I'm hoping though that it doesn't go to the west coast, I saw somewhere that a trip to the west coast is like 15 days from port.

If you look at your paperwork it should have the port listed. The trip to the west cost is more like 23 days so most of the folks here will be motoring when my car is still at sea. Then they have to truck it to New Mexico so its a few more days.

If you've already ordered, get your Vehicle Inquiry sheet from your dealer. It will list a "Port Loc" or port location. It will read something like "BALPOA" if Baltimore port of arrival.

MY BABY is in final inspection, due to complete today, right on schedule for my Feb 3 completion date. Maybe I still have hope of making it on the same ship. Hmm I have an email with my production # but no Vehicle Inquiry sheet may look into that.

I don't think they will put a MINI destined for Global Imports in Atlanta on a ship to the west coast, here's hoping.

Not really sure at what stage my car is at. Robo-mini says In Transit. Ask-Mini Adviser said final quality check, but according to the Mini tracking posting in 1st Gear Ask-Mini Advisers can't see beyond final QA check, so I don't know which on is actually correct.

Anybody know what port SSI is. My Vehicle Inquiry Sheet says SSIPOA, maybe Sullivan's Island, South Carolina?

Cool, thanks. I was told Texas cars were coming through there, but would never have gotten that from SSI. How did you know and what does the SSI stand for???

I got it from the "1st gear" forum in the Mini General area. There is a thread on tracking your mini and it was in there. No idea what SSI stands for....probably some internal terminology.

Probably stands for St. Simon's Island, which is off the GA coast in Brunswick County just outside Savannah.

How do you find out if your Mini has been booked or loaded onto a ship for the voyage to the states?

you can put your VIN in to the WW track and trace or ask your MA who can look it up for you.
