Congrats!
I called today, no people but I got the automated response which whenever it was recored said my MINI is/was in route to the port. So if mine is not at port now it should be soon, yeeea! I don't have a VIN # yet I guess I will bug my MA for it Monday.
Also Annette placed her order for her MINI yesterday, after getting the final word that El Kabong is totaled, so we are about to start the whole process over with hers. I think our salesman said she got his "last production #" for a while. Annette went with a Horizon Blue MCS, out of respect for El Kabong. We will have two dark blue Minis before too long.

In the owner's lounge(if you signed up, you can use your production number), under track your mini, review order detail. Your VIN should be listed there.
Assuming MY BABY is at the port by Monday I am wondering how long until it gets on a ship and then how long to get to the US coast?
There has to be limits on how many cars these ships can carry, so I don't guess there is any guarantee that my car makes it on the next ship to depart. Seems like I recall the ocean voyage being about a week? Then I guess it has to make a truck trip to Global from the coast, only a 4-5 hour drive. I guess I need to get busy ordering my Wolfbrook stripe kit.
Knowing the wife I am guessing there will be a "We love being deep blue" club for me to join soon too. I figure uniting two or three MINI colors is the only way she has a prayer of surpassing the Pepper White thread. I would never throw anything like gas on any of her fires though ;-)

mrod79, so what day was yours actually finished? I see you have an estimated date of 1/25, so was it done then?
Just trying to see how long most are finished before getting on a boat.

Annette
It was finished on the 26th.
Was in transit to port 2 days after it was done.
It sat at the port for a little over a week, which from what I've been seeing, is average wait time to get on a boat.
I was actually thinking mid March was when I would take ownership of the CM. Was suprised to hear from my MA that it will actually be sometime during the week of the 21st.

Ask Mini told me after they get to port they do not track them further. I was told I had to talk to my MA to get any progress report past the port. Mine has apparently been at the port for several days maybe more, assuming it is still at one of the ports.
I guess it could have made it to the port in England too, so it could be there. I'm not sure if all cars get unloaded in England or if ships docked there just drop off some cars and pick up more, holding the ones that have further to go. I am guessing they do as little loading & unloading from ships as possible so unless they use smaller ships between Germany & England.....

Countryman on the way
Just heard from my ma and my car is on the boat and should hit the port in USA on Feb. 19th. Then another 4 to 5 days to the dealership.

what boat
I was just glad to find out that it was on the boat. I've hinted in past e mails to my ma that it would be nice to find out which boat it was on but at least I found out it was on the way.

My MA says his records show my MINI is waiting at the port, if there is a ship on the 10th as I have heard...He did say that sometimes he does not find out a car is on a ship until 4-5 days after though.
Now my BIG problem is the wife's car is in production in England, if her's beats mine here, OMG! If hers gets on the same ship, that would be interesting.

This is what I see when I track on the WW site - WMWZC5C59BW are the prefix VINs for all Countryman

The Elektra does hit Baltimore too, but I believe Baltimore has many more ships that go there. The WW schedule is located here - http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppSche...pe=generatePDF
Also i think there are more than the 3 I mentioned, I think the 3 were similar build types as my car. I believe only the Countryman ships out of Bremerhaven so there are about 20-25 Minis on the Elektra. The rest are all BMWs, so I guess we can blame the BMW sales on our Mini's getting bumped.

I'm thinking there are some east coast CM's that are on a different shipping line than WW. One that is not trackable. I only say that because I have been checking my CM on the WW site for weeks with no luck and it has been at the port for close to two weeks. The VIN does not show up at all on WW for my CM.
