Lindsey, any work from your MA? Have they given you any information on ships, location or ETA?

 

I've got zero. My MA is off today so I'm going to stop down to the dealership tonight and see if the Sales Manager can give me any update. Maybe he has access to better data.

 

So, no word from the dealer (MA comes in at 1300), and another MA was supposed to call me back to let me know if Belle arrived. I guess it will be tomorrow at the earliest, or Monday at the latest (presuming she's there...). The waiting is killing me! Okay, not really, but enough, already!

 

Car is in! Tint is being done on Monday - I get it Monday night! WOO HOOO!

 

Sales manager just told me all he sees is that its produced but not shipped. It's been done for almost 3 weeks....shouldn't it have been on a boat by now?

 

Interesting. I talked with my MA today to start working on financing and to if it would be in before the end of the month. He said it has been shipped and will be in the US by the 19th. He said a couple of days up to a week to get to Cincinnati, but that I should expect it by the 26th at the latest. He still couldn't tell me the ship or anything. Still stands to reason the Oberon, Fedora or Patriot since it will come in on the 19th.

What does robo mini tell you, or the OL? They have both updated for me, and I would think by now they should indicate they are en route.

 

Ol and robomini both say at the port awaiting a boat.
I just don't get it?

 

According to my MA, mine was on the boat 3 days ago but OL still says "awaiting transport." So, I wouldn't rely on OL at all. I bet yours is on a boat but Mini just wasn't notified. There is no reason it would just be sitting at the dock waiting for a ship. Can you press your MA to call Mini to find out? I wouldn't be surprised if showed up at the dealer soon.

 

I ordered my CM All4 on February 1st. Stopped by the dealership today, not trusting the info provided by the Lounge, and was told that my car has already been built! It's awaiting transportation to the port.

Very surprised as to how fast this has happened. The dealership said that he thinks the car could be hear in about a month.

 

Mine was also sitting for more then 3 weeks. The owner's lounge is about 2 + + weeks behind. My MA did not know were my CM was. Never got a correct answer. I went thru this when I ordered my 05 msc. 6 years later same story from MINI. Both of my mini's 9 week wait.

 

It all depends on what the shipping schedule is, and how many CM's are in front of you to get on the ship, how many other competing cars, etc. However, once it is shipped, your MA should be able to provide you a printout with the ship name.

 

I do hope it's on a ship and it just hasn't shown up in the system yet. The problem is I'm trying to sell our MCS and was trying to get an idea of the drop dead date I need to sell it by so I can get more money than trade value. Assuming the last 5 digits in the vins are some type of production number there are other CM's that are more than 150 numbers higher than mine that are showing as loaded on a ship now. They share the exact same VIN with the exception of the last three numbers. That just leads me to believe ours in on a ship at sea and the tracking is just totally inaccurate.

 

Lindsey...As I said before, nothing is showing from the Oberon, and the only reason I know mine is on there is because my MA told me it was. Your car was finished five days after mine, but mine sat at the factory for over a week before it was put on the train, and then sat again. So it's highly likely yours is on the Oberon, too.

 

Woo-hoo!! That's awesome!! You are going to love it. I just drove mine home today. It shifts like butter! What a fun car! I will post a pic soon.

 

So glad to hear that you're loving the Countryman! I am patiently waiting - I hope I'll love it as much as I've loved my R56. It's going to be bittersweet trading it in.

 

That's actually how I felt...almost 7 years with Poppins, and it was like saying bye to a dear friend. Funny, I never felt that way about a vehicle before that one!

 

I know...typically when I trade, I feel like "goodbye and good riddance!", but Mini's are so personalized...like losing a small part of yourself. Weird, but true.

 

Amen to that!! I took photos of it last night in the garage...it will have to have its own scrapbook page, maybe with the new photos on the facing page. I so like the size of the boot. Now, backpacks and instruments can fit with ease. I think our sheepdog will have to ride in the old SUV, although he looked adorable in my old MINI.

Boydsteamship has it scheduled to arrive today at 1PM/EST but it looks like it's not scheduled to transit until the morning of 2/18. I'm not sure if 5 days is enough time to make it up to Port Hueneme but they still have it scheduled to arrive 2/23.

 

I just fired off an email to my MA asking him to place a call to try to verify what ship (assuming it's on a ship) our CM is on. Will be interesting to see how he responds. He doesn't seem to be one to go the extra mile on customer service.

 

Saw a new light white CM at your dealer today. It had a surf blue color line and no graphics. Didn't look as loaded as yours. Hope you get a positive response.
