He hasn't given me a firm date, but he was thinking the 26th. I will believe it when I see it. If I get it the week of the 28th, then it will be within the time frame that he originally said. I am more anxious now than before because I sold my last car this past Tuesday. I am hoping to not have to go too long without my own transportation.

I know the feeling. We are trying to sell our car now and due to the prolonged shipping we may only have one car for a few weeks. Stinks.

Hopefully these last few days will give them a chance to get the bugs worked out with the nav system! ;-) I wonder why only a percentage of people are having problems, but it certainly does concern me. My car should be reaching the shore on Saturday, and I actually will probably drive right by it as I take my son for his drum lesson. We saw a WW ship last weekend right from 95 just before you pass through the Ft McHenry tunnel.

I wish you the best on your new Countryman. Hope they have your Nav all worked out for you. My car has been sitting at the dealer since the 12th and it's killing me that they still have no working code for that navigation system! I won't pick it up until it is functioning. :(

The Oberon is showing up!!! It's now off the coast of VA Beach. Probably will hit Baltimore by the morning.

Dang. Oberon is just sitting there in the Chesapeake Bay behind a bunch of other cargo ships. Not sure if the wind is holding things up. I was hoping they'd get there late last night and unload today, and maybe, just maybe I'd be able to pick up Tuesday (my dealer is about 10 miles or so from the VDC). Don't think this is going to happen, so it will have to be a week from Monday.

The car does spend some time in the VDC for final checks, etc. You're closer than I am -- the Talia is still in the Atlantic ocean, hasn't hit GA yet, and then has to go all the way through the Panama canal!

@Chugia -- why not pick up the car? It's still under warranty, and they have to get the nav going. At least you could be breaking it in in the meantime...

Big bummer. Just drove by the Oberon sitting in the Chesapeake Bay waiting for the wind to settle down. So close yet so far.

I hope you are correct. There's a whole fleet sitting in the Bay...It looked like the Oberon but I couldn't confirm the name.

Yup. MarineTracker has the Patriot, along with a bunch of other ships sitting near the bridge. Oberon is actually sitting at the port. Got in this morning. It was sitting in that same spot that the rest are currently at for over 24 hours.

Oberon has left Baltimore and is getting towed back out into the Bay. Looks like Patriot is on its way in. I assume the VDC folks don't work Sundays.

It really doesn't matter at this point. I leave for Colorado on Wednesday, so they'll have a few days to get it ready (I'm getting the ClearBra installed, too).

@Conspiracy

Are you getting it done at the dealer or going indie.

BTW how much did they quote you ??
I got one from a place called auto armor and it 600 for the front bumper, half hood (i think), head lights, fog lamps and mirrors.

The dealer agreed to do it for $895 via the installer that does it for them all the time. They price matched another installer that I was going to go to. Front bumper, hood, mirrors, headlights, door edges, and back sill.

Bosporus Highway on the map!

Any guesses as to when it will show up on this side of the map?
BH finally showed up and is cruisin to Baltimore then Georgia. Supposed to be in Brunswick GA on Feb 23rd my MA tells me. I think that is optimistic based on the backlog in Baltimore harbor that is being reported.

The wait continues...

Talia's still out in the middle of the ocean somewhere -- was supposed to be in Brunswick on the 19th...

jmdor, I was watching marinetraffic like a hawk this weekend to see when Talia would be pulling in. Hopefully it'll be soon. Bit of a bummer that it's running behind schedule.

Yeah, my quoted 10-week lead time is turning into 12-14 weeks. I shouldn't be irritated, but it does seem to take a looonng time -- maybe I shoulda got a Ford... ok, maybe not.

Our 6-8 week wait is turning into 8-10 so I can sympathize.
