New Owner - So HAPPY!
Hi everyone,
I just took part in Mini ownership yesterday and so far it has been a BLAST!!! I love looking at it and all my co-workers just swooned!
I had a hard time debating between 2006 or 2007 models and finally went with a 2006 because of the color and pricing. I was also a little hestitant to buy a first year model although I've been reading on CVTs on this forum and am still a little aprehensive. It's the luck of the draw I know!
I ended up with a BRG, CVT, Premium Package, Cordoba Beige, Harman Kardon. It's beautiful and reminds me of my Boston Green 318is from back in the day. I drove my 3 series for 150,000 miles and hope to do the same with my new baby!!

Welcome ! You're going to fit in just fine around here with that kind of enthusiasm. 
Congrats on the purchase. We have two 06's, both with the CVT. I don't worry too much about it. Just drive it hard, and make any problem surface before the warranty expires.
