New (used) MINI owner in Raleigh, NC
After eyeing one for a year or two, I finally took the plunge yesterday and traded in my 2001 Saturn for a 2003 MINI Cooper, solid black, heated seats, NAV system.
While it was nice not having a car payment on the Saturn, I'm having a blast driving the MINI. I'm driving out to the nearest MINI dealership (Winston-Salem, NC) tomorrow for some minor warranty work, and then I should be set.

Welcome to NAM, Dr. Voice! Congrats on your new MINI. I made the jump from a '97 Pontiac, myself. Hey, we need some pics of your new baby!
I'll keep an eye out for you while I'm motoring around the Triangle! I purchased my MC from Flow in W-S and had a good experience with them. No service work done yet on my baby, but hopefully the service department will provide a similar positive experience for you.

Thanks guys!
I just went out to Flow MINI yesterday to get the warranty work done - the driver's side window motor had issues, as did the rear-window washer pump. Both of those were fixed. The NAVI computer had some issues - a part's on order, so I'll have to go back to Winston-Salem next week sometime. And I got the Aux jack for the stereo put in, so I can switch between my iPod and XM.
But the car's been great so far. It's a 2003 with 45,000 miles on it, jet black all over, and was apparently pretty tricked out, with the sport package, "premium" package, automatic with the manual shift thingy, sunroof, cold weather package, navigation system, and a couple of other things. I'm trying to tell myself that I didn't pay too much for it, but have been having fun driving it so far!

Congratulations!
We're all excited for you as you venture out in your new (at least new to you) MINI! They're outstanding cars! I grew up in Raleigh area (near Lake Boone Trail) and also lived for a while in Cary. You guys have fun and when I make my next trip back to that area I'll try to hook up with the MINI group if time allows!
POWER to the MINI's!
