Question for taller driver/passengers

My wife and I are about 6' tall - will Mini feel cramped, or is there adequate headroom?

Plenty of leg and headroom. I'm 6' and don't even put the seat close to all the way back. I do lower the seat pretty far, but no problem at all. We have a sunroof, and that also probably makes the headliner a little lower. Don't think I was ever in a MINI w/o a sunroof, so don't know.

You'll love it.

I'm 6'2" with a 36-inch inseam, and the MINI is extremely roomy and comfortable. In fact, it's one of the few cars I've driven where I don't have to slide the seat all the way back to get enough legroom.

The back seat is just about useless if the driver and passenger are tall, since the front seatbacks will just about be touching the rear seats. But, we hardly ever carry passengers in the back, so that's not really an issue.

i'm 6'2" and one of the reasons i'm buying the car is the excellent leg room. like others said, i don't even put the seat all the way back. never been bothered by the headroom, so i guess it is okay (and I've tested cars with sunroofs).

6'2" 230lbs

Tons of room just not always in the right places/porportions, it took a little adapting of habits on my part but now life is great as long as I'm not wearing a helmet then things get a little crampt.

I'm 6'5" and it has plenty of legroom and headroom. More than my Mazda3s does in front. It also passes the ballcap test (I can comfortably where my baseball caps in the car). Of course the person seated behind me would have to be a double amputee to be comfortable, but hey...if there isn't enough room in back then they should be doing the driving!

I'm 6' 4" with an athletic build, blonde hair and a great tan. I never thought all the stories I had heard about older women were true until the night my girlfriend's mom saw me drive up in my MINI and came outside to chat. Or at least I thought that's all she wanted to do...

My husband is 6'3" and fits in ours fine. Plenty of leg room and head room. We have a sunroof. He does keep the seat in the lowest position. My nephew is 6'6" and fits fine in it, although he fits better in ones without a sunroof, it gives him about 3/4" more headroom.

I am 6'0" and my wife is 5'11", we fit quite well. Her only requirement for me to get one was the 2 carseat fit, which they do nicely. I actually took my son on the test drive with me.
I do not think the 2 of you will have any problems.

I'm 6'7", 280. Most comfortable car I've ever owned. PLENTY of room. Go check it out for yourselves!

I'm 6 3 all legs and arms. Only time I had a problem was with a helmet had to lower the seat all the way, but I fit eventually. Definitely no room for passengers though.

Thank you!! This is great to hear.

I appreciate the responses a lot - the obvious answer is to check it out but I'm in China and there are very few around and no dealerships nearby. Thanks very much for the replies - I wanted this car to work for us & I think it will work fine!

You guys are all extremely tall.

Anyway, I'm 5'9" and I fit fine...obviously.

The backseat is okay for shot drives, but I wouldn't ask anyone to sit back there for a roadtrip.

I am 6'4" and the Mini is one of the roomiest cars I have ever driven in. You will not have a problem with leg room on the drivers or passengers side. It is even possible to get 4 adults in there, I have done it; not that I would like to travel along way but it is possible.

I am 1' 9" according to my driving license - some sort of mix up due to my European 'metric' license and I can sit in the MINI on three cushions and there is still plenty of room!

Plenty!

I'm 6'1", 220, and - like just about everyone else that's answered here - I fit fine.

I have more headroom than I do in my fiance's Maxima (both cars have sunroofs), and the driving position is much better.

Of course, anyone sitting behind me only has about 4 inches for their legs.

But then, I didn't get a MINI for passenger haulage... The only thing I need to haul is my own a**

I'm a little over 6' tall, and i'm surprised about how much both head and leg room i have. For a small car it sure is roomy lol

I am a 6'4" 310lb college O-lineman and I fine, the only problem is that if you have another person about the same size as me, is that our shoulders tend to bump a little, but I doubt your wife is built like me so yall should be fine

I am 6' tall and have absolutely no problems. Everyone that has been in my MINI is surprised at how much room it has. We have even fit four 6' people in my car and everyone had enough room...again wouldn't recommend it for long trips but I didn't get it to haul everyone else around anyways.
