New to NAM, new to MINI, not BMW AG

A short while back, as I was driving my BMW 330Cic home from a short jaunt to the local food'n'stuffery, a puff of smoke bellowed into the cabin. It was the bad kind of smoke, the "OMFG I'm totally screwed" kind of smoke. It turns out the wiring harness failed me in the worst kind of way. Within a minute, as I pulled into an eating hole, I had a full blown fire that generated enough heat to compromise all the steel around it AND heat the steel enough to melt the fender lining on the other side of it. It had already progressed into the cabin by the time it was put out. Not bad for a fire that lasted only three minutes.

Needless to say, my insurance totalled it.

So now I've got this. Hope you like.

I've already got the following on order:

NGK Iridium plugs
ALTA 15% pulley
ALTA diverter
ALTA CAI
Invidia exhaust
UUC rear swaybar
H&R springs
OEM Aero grill

welcome to nam

and that's a hot mini you have there. Always good to start with a solid base and it looks like you have done it. I think you will find the folks here to be lots of fun. I was talking about it with my father and neither of us can hardly believe the cultish following for this car and the folks that are getting their hands dirty with them.

I realize that there are cars which invoke a sort of inner club of owners but this car revitilizes something which hasen't been seen over a new car in american culture in years.

welcome to the club.

Welcome aboard - very sharp looking MINI!

Oh - and welcome to the burned car club... Ours was the first MINI to go up in flames almost 2 years ago now..also a complete total..But like you, we got a nice replacement. Even though your burned one was not a MINI, I know how you must have felt....sad...

Hi - fellow BMW guys here. I've had a 325Cic, a 330Ci, and an M3. All fun cars, just like my MCS.
