Welcome to our obession, and now the hard part begins. I drove an SB/S from the dealer for a few days, its a wonderful color choice, and of the options availible now, definately one of my top to favorite colors still produced.

 

Congrats on your order! Sounds like a great-looking car. I almost went with the SB/S; but got HB/S. I'm still intrigued by the Space Blue......

If you want everything in the Sport Pack, then this sounds like a great order, not over the top on it all like most. I wish I had the Chrono pack, because I NEVER look at that center speedo, being out of my driving line of vision. I don't care for the Zenons personally, as I see it as something else to go wrong, the hi-beams are the same as my Halogens anyway, so as I see it, it's bling. LSD from the factory makes the most sense and for $500, a good deal. I have the silver roof too and with that option it had the "swoop" hood stripe which I like a lot. Buy the Sport Pack ala carte without the Zenons and you could afford the HK, it's not perfect but most folks like it...

But overall you seem to have made a GREAT build, RESIST the urge to add-on anything...RESIST!!

nice choices, i have a simialer cooper s on its way also, just a couple more options (stereo and seats), it sounds like it will be a great car! What car did you auto cross pre-mini?

 

I autocross a 1995 318ti w/KW variant 3 coil-overs, all urethane bushings, IE race engine mounts, rear camber kit, delrin diff mount, 9lb flywheel, 3.45 LSD, massively flared fenders, Dinan chip, CAI, and Magnecor wires.



Over the winter my friend and I are going to prep the BMW for the newly created XP class.

With the Mini, I will have to do GS that is where they dominate!

 

One thing to mention, I'm not sure if sport pack still includes S-heavys; if it does and you're going to autox thats all I'd change.

 

Yep, it's the S-Lites, I really like the web-spokes look, but I don't know anything about their weight. There's 500 more bucks. See, it just never ends, there always is a reason to add on something else.

 

Oh yeah it does, but when I autocross it will be on R-comps and a different set of rims.

It looks like a lot of people are ordering an 06 at the last minute!

 

Our dealer has a assortment of presently unsold models coming over, I assume to catch the end of the production line. I tried real hard to talk my wife into a MC, but she wants to keep her SW for her convenience, at least it's a VW.

 

Welcome to NAM. Sounds like a great Mini you are getting. I ordered mine a little over a week ago. This is the hard part, waiting!!
