again thanks for the info mini dreams!, I think i am going to get the arm rest, and the ipod in the glove box set up, i was going to get the dealer installed mini roof rack but i am going to get an after market yakima rack instead... any one else getting a roof rack?

did anyone get the boot mat with extension for when the seats are folded down?

woo-hoo!!! everyone is getting minis... i passed two minis downtown last night and gave the proper wave (saw one wave back)... my sister-in-law said "do you guys have to wave at each other??" i said "yes, it's a club!!"

didn't get the extension but will get the boot mat. however, before you buy from the dealer, here's another buying story... i asked my MA to include the boot matt ($100!) in my order... even put it in an email. he forgot. I thought he'd say "since I forgot, we'll just throw it in"... NOT. (He did throw in those tiny back floor matts that are $40!)

so before changing all of my paperwork with the extra boot matt (i didn't want to fork over $100) we asked another MA who is very familiar with this stuff if the boot matt is offered aftermarket cheaper. Moss Mini sells the same OEM boot matt for $59.95. Maybe with shipping and all, it will be closer to $70 or $80, but still, Mini doesn't need more of my money. So check prices here before you buy from the dealer (the front mats and back mats are just slightly cheaper than what I paid the dealer):

unless that price is for the boot mat and the extension together (100.00) that is a crazy price, my dealer is 50.00 for just the boot mat, though i have not seen my dealers price for the boot mat extension...yet....

Thanks for the info it is nice to get feedback before going in to the dealer. I am glad that I have my loan all dealt with and down payment gathered, it is just a matter of getting the final price/invoice and getting a check handing it to the dealer, tleast once the car is at the dealer and ready for me!

 

a little better picture than my earlier ones... the weekend was beautiful here, so I took this pic yesterday and liked the setting. this was before Grover got a bath today and half a side of claybar before i lost the light. those wheels do get dirty quick (although it did rain the first night I had it).

So my wife and I decided to make a trip up HWY 25 in SC to Flat Rock NC to eat lunch and see the color change for fall. We were glad that the storm a couple days ago didn't take all the leaves. Next time we'll have to go another 45min to the Dragon!

ClimberGirl from Wk36 has the extension. She uses it for when her dogs are in the car, if I remember correctly she said it doesn't keep the hair down/out of the seats but it does protect the backs of the seats.

I gotta say i really love the H/K stereo. For anybody concerned, it has more than enough volume. Also a tip for the AUX and an mp3 player. I've found that using the line out from my adapter to the AUX input, turning off all the effects (EQ, Bass enhance, etc...) gets the cleanest signal/sound. I did a side by side comparison with a cd and it sounds the same if not better to my ears. I don't have an Ipod its an iaudio m3. Just a couple tips if anyone is interested in trying it out.

Right there with you psb, Owner's Lounge said my Mini was delivered yesterday, called my MA and she's not there In the interim of waiting I sold my old car and I'm driving my brother's Saturn (thank goodness for brothers).
