Woo hoo!

I'm very excited - just placed my order today for my shiny new cool blue MCSC! Now I get to wait for my production number, date, etc. The people at Irvine Mini were very nice, and dropped the markup!

Can't wait to motor topless!

Welcome to NAM, homerwest! How did you spec your MCSC and when do you expect to take delivery?

my new mini

My new car will have the premium package and convenience package and an Ipod input with cloth interior, cool blue with blue top. I will probably order the wind screen also after reading the post on the Cabrio forum. I didn't want to add too much stuff, and no longer need the cold weather stuff since moving from Colorado to SoCal! Basil should be here in 2 - 2.5 months, according to my MA.... Thanks!

Basil is a great name! From what I know from my Cabrio-owning friends, that wind screen is a great option...good choice!

Welcome Aboard! From one Cabrio owner to another (soon ), you are going to LOVE it... And yes, the windscreen is great....best thing I ever received for Ariel...

As for the heated seats, well...I use them quite a bit here in So Cal. Winter mornings do get a bit chilly and it sure does feel good on the ole back....

If Basil ever has a mate - will she be Cybil or will he be Manuel ?

Basil

Probably Polly! I might change my mind if the mood strikes once I start driving and rename it Cybil....

Thanks for the welcome!

Homer are they still ordering 06s or did you have to get an 07?

Welcome to NAM and the MINI Obsession! I hope your wait doesn't drive you too crazy! You car sounds similar to one owned by one of my friends. Great color!

basil

Basil will be a 2006 i am told. I was going to wait for the 2007 for the new engine and more room in the footwells, but found out that the cabrio will not be updated for another year or more, so pulled the trigger for the 2006!

Got my production number - thanks to however put the tracking your production on a sticky! I would have had palpitations otherwise (according to the OL, I have a pepper white on order - not that there's anything wrong with that).

Cheers!

Congratulations and great choice on the car. Don't worry about the OL messing up what you have on order, I had a red one according to them! The wind screen is a great investment, I would start looking now for good prices. You may want to consider the warm weather package though. Anytime it's in the 70's and I'm driving at night or in the morning without the sun on me I end up turning on the seat warmers. Not a necessity but nice to have!
