i just ordered my MINI!

I just ordered my first MINI (and first car ever!) tonight from Crown Mini of Richmond. It was a super laid back process and I'm so excited! I got to test drive a convertible

I ended up going with Hyper Blue/White roof, mirrors and white bonnet stripes.

Thanks for the advice! I get my production number tomorrow and sched. delivery is early Sept., so I'll probably be crazy between now and then

Congratz! I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed mine! I was going to opt for new but I knew I couldn't wait. So I picked up a good one used.

Hi and welcome I ordered from Crown earlier this month and, if all goes well, the MINI should be loaded up tonight headed to the States. Who are you working with at Crown? Ive done everything on line because I am currently in Colorado and relocating back to Virginia in a week so I actually havent physically met anyone there at Crown!

I had been emailing Kelly to sort of get some general info, but the salesperson who actually took my order last night was Ashley Vaughn. Everyone was very nice, and it was actually sort of crowded; two couples were picking up their MINIs!

One thing I didn't particularly like is that all the MINIs that are custom ordered and have been delivered sit in the showroom; but they were all unlocked! People were sitting in a convertible with a big sign that said "SOLD" in the window. Would it be unreasonable for me to request that my MINI, when it comes in, be kept away from the public at large? It's my first car purchase after all, and I want her to be perfect. What do you guys think?

I think that is totally reasonable. Heck, *I* want to be the first person in my MINI save for the people who were involved in building it and getting it to me. I think I need to request the same thing of them--I don't want anyone pawing over my car!

Your excitment reminds me of my first car purchase, especially when the first car is something cool! My first car was a new 1975 MGB (still have it), and I haven't been this excited about buying a car since then!

I have also seen cars on display at the dealer that are already sold, and I will be making the same request to my dealer to keep our Mini away from the shopping public.

crazy indeed!

I too understand what you are going through, as i just ordered my Mini last Thursday. I can say i honestly feel like a 6 yr old kid on christmas night waiting for santa to come and leave presents! Its almost like the feeling you get just before you get onto a rollercoaster at a theme-park. I love it, but the antisipation is a killer.

Congrats on your order!!!!
