Hi everyone! My fiancee and I ordered a DS/W MCS last Thursday (July 6th) and can't wait to take delivery. Heck, we don't even have a Production Week yet. Dealer told us it usually takes about a week, from time of ordering, to get the VIN and Prodcution Week information.

we ordered our MINI from the Morristown dealership. just a better rapport there with Joe (SA) and Ed (Sales Manager)...

Just to save you some terror when you first see your car described by the Owner's Lounge web site...

Somewhere in the MINI factory's computer is an imaginary car that has a different color & options than yours. It's destined to be built in a few days or weeks and sent to Morristown. Your request for a DS MCS will be matched to that car. If you visit the Owner's Lounge in the first day or so after that match, the web site will respond to your Production number with that car's original options and color. It is quite terrifying and I was all over the AskMini folks trying to fix the "mistake". After several hours the system will automatically reflect your preferences.

 

You know, I don't know if I am in the rare minority, but I never had this problem! When I logged into the Owner's Lounge, the review order details was completely blank and then one day it showed what I ordered. I never had any weirdness in there! Does that mean mine was specifically ordered for MEEEE and was not a normal inventory changed to my specs? Mmmm.... I like to think so

 

as for the Owner's Lounge - the picture of the car shows black mirrors and roof... but our MCS will have white mirrors and roof

the order does read correctly, though...

just called ASK-MINI not long ago... yes, it is roughly 11PM EST, and found out that it was being transported!!! yesterday it was still " being assembled - scheduled for completion (last wednesday)... that is good stuff!!!

i haven't quite figured out the production week, so not sure what Support Group to post in... i might be week 29?

our production number is 38551...
