This is a list of all vehicle carrier vessels departing Europe in the month of June 2006(Bremerheaven,Southampton,etc) and arriving in Port Hueneme,California, the ETS date shown is when the ship sails away form the original port of loading (Bremerheaven),it take about 1 or 2 days to arrive in Southampton,UK. ETA is when it arrives to Port Hueneme,Ca

Since I'm in the DC area, I dunno if my Mini will go to SC or to NJ. But looking at Blackhat's list, I guess I'm hoping for that 6-18 ship at the latest. And maybe I'll get lucky and get the 6-11 ship.

There's a WW ship leaving on the 10th that will be stopping in both places. I find that much preferable to both the 11th and holding up my ship.

 

the last person i spoke to at askmini, they said that for the MD area, the boat is more likely to head into the Port NJ.

 

just got off the phone with askmini. My baby is in the final assembly quality check. YES!!!

 

I've been looking at this same list and figure that I have to be on the Lyra Leader; however, it never showed up on the southampton list of port activity. But I'm just going to assume that's the right ship. If my car were on the Toronto, I would have shown up on their list.

 

I thought I could remain cool, calm, and collected and patiently wait for my car but reading this thread has cracked me up to the point where now 4+ more weeks may seem like an eternity. I was given a June 6 production date (bad "OMEN" - I hope not - 06-06-06). I was told today at ASKMINI that I, too am sitting at the port awaiting a ride across the pond. Should we just charter a cargo plane and fly over and get those little puppies.....they're small enough to strap down and get over here.

If patience is a virtue, I may not be as virtuous as I thought...not much we can do but start "accessorizing"

We're all goofy and obsessive eccentrics who call our cars "babies", give them names, and think nothing of sitting for hours in front of the computer trying to learn everything we can about our precious darlings. I can't sleep at night thinking about my Penelope. I give everyone I know a daily update on her status, even though no one cares! And, believe me, if I could bring her home in my carry on luggage, I'd be there in a minute. So . . . welcome to the funhouse!

Locomini thanks for the great schedule! I had checked on NYKLine but wasn't able to get a schedule so I'm glad you put this together. Seems like we have different ship schedules than the NY/NJ and SC ports also. Since we're both west coast and were done about the same time as miniprof I'm hanging onto hope that we're also on a ship somehere with his baby and just don't know it yet. If we weren't that lucky then I'm hoping to get on the Nada V, and maybe still make that trip to Denver mid July!

I keep checking my sources, but still show 'at port awaiting a vessel' on both OL and the voice. I sent an email to my MA as soon as I found out I missed the Toronto, but he's not really too good about answering calls/emails... Unfortunately I don't think he's going to be much help

 

But have you dreamt about your MINI?????? I have.

(Yes, I know, we have drugs for that.)

 

Talked to Jason at ASK-MINI today and mine is on its way to the port. He says it should be there tomorrow. I guess now its a matter of time to see which cruise it gets booked on. Hopefully sooner than later....

 

Not trying to be a downer but you may want to make alternate transportation plans. Maybe the dealer will give you a loaner for getting your hopes up.

i called at around 5pm EST, and they said mine was in the final assembly quality check.

of course online still says scheduled for production. i'm hopin that will change tomorrow.

Welcome to Week 23, sam.ben. I'm with you on whether this support group has made it better or worse. Better because we've gotten to share MINI info and the like but worse because it's constantly on our mind whereas we MIGHT have had normal lives for a few extra days not constantly checking the boards.

Bah! Who am I fooling. If you're here to begin with you would have been surfing MINI stuff at all times, this ultimately has made it easier.

Woo hoo, gratz! Now, where did you get that info? My OL page is just showing in transit. I've checked my VIN against WW and it's not showing anything.

 

I got the info about my MINI from the WW site. It shows that it was booked on 6/6 so obviously their site suffers from the same delay as the OL site. When I found it was on the Courage, I looked up the boat schedule and say that it was set to arrive on the 24th, 14 days after it sets sail.

Now I will be tracking the weather in the Atlantic. It is hurricane season, right?

 

I agree having MINI friends has made this somewhat easier - and even though I'm terribly jealous of those of you further ahead in the process (especially Jayne!!!) I still find myself very excited for all of you... somehow it gives me hope that I may be on the road soon in my mighty little MINI!

Just checked WW...my status also changed overnight. I'm now booked on the Courage! So it seems things are moving much faster than usual over in the UK (ASK MINI told me yesterday that my car could sit for 7-10 days at the dock). Those of you waiting at port that are coming through SC may want to check the WW site again today.
