I tried searching the WW site and saw that the ISOLDE left on the 17th and is heading toward Port Hueneme around July 11th. Perhaps this is the same ship?

It looks like the Isolde is making a stop at Charleston, GA before heading through the Panama canal.

But I don't see the Isolde anywhere on the sailwx.info site. But I read somewhere that if a ship is close enough to land that it's not listed on that site. So maybe it's unloading cars in Charleston already?

Maybe I'm on a NYK line, though. I can't remember whether it's NYK or WW or what that delivers to the west coast.

I wish someone, either at ask-mini or my dealership, could tell me what ship I'm on, but when i called ask mini, they told me I'd have to ask my dealer for more details because at that point, it's theirs. Maybe some dealers just care more about keep track of the cars while they're in transit?
I'll bet it's the NYK Fontana, which is scheduled to go through the canal June 30 http://www.boydsteamship.com/daily_traffic_report.htm and to stop in San Diego on 7/10. http://www.sdmis.org/schedule/. Mine is on NYK (I think) and it never showed up on sailx, although it did show up on the aisfree site http://aisfree.aislive.com/Influx.aspx.

As for the MAs - I was hanging out at MofM asking about some stuff and my MA showed me the printout they get. It doesn't tell what ship you are on, and only gives an approximate date of arrival. Soooo, it looks like they really don't have the info. Apparently some MAs get more info than others. On a side note, the NYK ship I think I'm on should have arrived at Port Hueneme today. But the port is closed due to a possible terrorist threat. Hope all the MINIs are safely onshore!

As for pancakex, my dealer also told me my car would be in Port Hueneme on July 9th (again, no name of vessel)...we'll keep our fingers crossed that the port is safe for all the right reasons (and for our MINI's)

Their site says I am still on there as well. I just think it either has not updated or we are on the bottom of the ship.

My MINI is in the dealer!!!!!!!!

I of course and went to go see it today as soon as I had a chance, and of course I DO have pics. My car still has to get the aero kit and the JCW spoiler installed. So my MA said more than likely it will be next week before I get to take delivery. But i did get to see my baby, and drive another JCW that was sitting on the lot, since i never drove one before. Of course the east coast is getting stomped with rain just like our good friend swizzle.

Congrats to u swizzle!! I do envy you for being able to take delivery of your car today. I probably would have been able to also if I didn't have the aero kit and jcw spoiler.

Bluminiboy... do you have plans to install silver turn signal lights in the front? It would really ccomplete the look.

I found out from my MA today that they may be able to paint all the wheel arches for me space blue. So once that is done, yes I will either want the arch reflectors either clear or smoke. I haven't figured out which yet. I still have time.

They're saying it can take the aero kit up to 4 days to get painted. I don't mind because the only good time for me to pick up is on a weekend. So it's either this weekend or next. This weekend isn't looking good for the clear bra guy, so next will be better for him. I don't wanna drive it anywhere but his shop first. Gotta get my car protected.

Lots of great news here today - cheers to all!!!

Jayne, so glad to hear you're MINI is close to home, after all that agonizing about being left at the dock, and

Swizzle, you lucky dog, you!!! WHERE are those pics???? and

Bluminiboy, that's a great looking MINI! You'll be lucky if you get one minute's sleep between now and pick-up.

This is really getting exciting now, they're really FINALLY coming in!

Well it arrived at the dealer a day early (24th) and the time is rapidly approaching to pick it up. I'm so nervous I could scream. Fortunately I knew it would happen this way to some extent so I made sure I'd be so busy I'd barely have to time to think about it. Worked pretty well up until today when I couldn't resist seeing how you guys were doing.

Dealer says Wednesday or Thursday for me, I have vacation plans starting on Thursday so that's when I'll hopefully get it.

Gratz to those who have or are getting them very soon and hang tight guys who are still on ships. The good news is they seem to put in a slight fudge factor on the time to cover themselves if they are late and so far they seem to be running ahead of schedule.

I'll toss up some pics when I take delivery. Swizzle... where are yours man?

Congrats BlueMiniBoy - Your Mini looks really nice, it's going to look even better with the aerokit.

I'll try to get some pics in here today. There was a slight delay when I went to pick it up as I had to wait for the iPod adapter to finish being installed. Picked it up at 4:00 then promptly went for a little motoring. It had 10 miles on the odo and we had smiles on our faces. Thanks again.

Swizzle

Very nice blueminiboy! I'm happy to see my MINI's brother is doing well and is safe and sound, shore side.

Hmm, our MINIs were born the same day and are the same color, by mine is a Cabrio, your's isn't. So does that make them fraternal twins?

Completely agree. I'm a wreck just doing the final prep work for making this happen. Just knowing it's at the dealer (getting tint work done now, max side window legal all the way around) and pretty much good to go is driving me insane. How you managed to go actually look at your car and walk away just boggles the brain.

Appointment is made, Thursday 11AM I pick up MiniYak. Woo hoo.

Thanks for the pics. Makes me hope that I will be united with my MINI in the not too distant future.

For all of you on the Integrity, they finally updated its location. Our MINIs are already halfway home!

that is for sure. I went there to take pics of my MINI and see it. Then i figured while i was there, I would test drive another JCW just to ease off the excitement. And I loved the way it drove and the sound is just beautiful. But i don't think that worked, I fell into a deeper love for the MINI. When I was driving back home, my fingers were tingling cuz I was so excited and I wanted my car that very moment. Now I can't get MINI off the brain. I think i'm worse now than when my MINI was in production or even before production.

I just noticed another thing. This is prolly stupid. I noticed that most of our join dates here are either April or May. I think that the most of us are in second gear with the number of posts.

But i only see myself as the only one in third gear.

I see herozup comin in a close second creepin on the third gear mark.

just a note, i'm being lazy and I only looked at this last page of posts of whose here.

I guess some of us lowly little first gears better catch up!
