Very cool! Mine's all astro black. Black with a black roof! Very stealthy

Good luck picking up your car!

Cool. I'll check behind the shrubbery and under the desks. If I see it, would you like me to snap a photo? Or do you want to wait?

Heck yes! If you see it, and would be so kind as to snap a pic, that would be great! I can't get enough of the astro black, so even if it's not mine, that's ok.

Man, I'm totally excited.. I'm flying out tomorrow afternoon, so I'm trying to think of all the stuff I should check before driving off the lot and trekking back to Seattle. Accessories... owner's manual... heck, deep down I don't really care as long as I get my MINI! I was hoping for some freebies, but my MA seems kind of reluctant to give me more free stuff than absolutely necessary.

ARGH! They just called and won't be finished with Penelope's stripes until tomorrow morning. but I'll definitely look!

I didn't get any freebies either, other than a tank of gas. My MA spent about an hour with me going over all the features of the car and how to work everything, but I was so excited to drive her that I probably didn't pay as much attention as I should have. The only problem I've had is the dreaded yellow stains from the rear window washer (there has been lots of discussion about this problem on the boards) so when I took her in today they said they would buff it out. Everything else has been great! I've been very happy with MINI of Murray and I'm sure Saturday will be a wonderful day for you!

BTW, it's really hot here right now - none of that green, beautiful coolness of the Pacific NW. Does your car have a sunroof? If so, I would bring something to block the sun of the roof while you're driving or you'll get mighty toasty.

Oh, pancakex, you're so lucky to have someone offier!!! Anyone out there in Denver that would make the same offier to take pickies of my Scootr and make sure he doesn't have the dreaded stains or body damage that some claim? OL just today says Scoore is 'at the dealer', which I understand actually means he's on his way and will be there soon... oooooooohhhhhhhhhhh I'm so excited!!!!!!! How can I wait 3 more weeks? (minus 1 day, but who's counting?) PS, my MA also seems less than enthusiastic about Scootr's arrival....

Takers, anyone?

Well, I'd offer to take a road trip to Denver, but I just don't have time right now!! But it would be a great excuse to take Penelope on a jaunt across the mountains. Sorry

Thanks for showing her off!

Thanks cooperminis! Hubby and I did the grill, following instructions we found on this site when we searched "aero grille installation". The grille itself only cost $88 or something, so by doing it ourselves it was a very affordable mod. Taking off the original was a piece of cake, and the top part of the aero grille is a straight swap, but the bottom part has to be modified a bit to fit. It really wasn't bad - a little time consuming but definitely something that anyone with DIY skills can accomplish. I just love how it looks.

Penelope looks great - Visit to Limmer

Penelope looks great! Excellent job!!

LouMini visited Limmer in Intervale NH Friday. Any hikers out there may recognize the name. Great visit !!! Had a fun time in Woodstock, Lincoln, Conway and the White Mountain Region. LouMini finished up the break in here which I really can't think of a better place to do it

On the way home we let it all out for a bit on Rt 10. Wow the juices were flowing listening to the supercharger scream and eyes glued to the road and tach. Shifted at about 6500 and let up at about ???(not saying ) which came up fast. Had to do it once and wow it was fun. These cars are definetly a blast to drive.

Kman...

I just went past break in two days ago, and I have been taking it to 6500 here and there. I love the sound of the supercharger on the jcw.

700 miles and we are finally home

We picked up our beautiful new PW/B Mini S on Friday at about 11:00 in Ashland. She is so pretty!!
We then drove down to the coast and spend the weekend and just got home this afternoon. I will post some pictures later after we give her a bath. She has a lot of bugs on her right now but it is sooo hot outside, we have to wait till it cools down to get her cleaned up.
What a fun car to drive!!! I even got to wave to another Mini driver today .
I can't wait to go to work tomorrow (I hardly ever say that)

miniprof! Thanks for looking, no problem.

I picked up my car on Saturday and it is beautiful!! Beautiful I tell you! Here, see for yourself:

My clean new MINI sits in the shade at the dealer to protect it from 110 degree (!) heat:

Looking out over eastern Oregon:

New-ish, without a layer of squished bugs crusted over the bonnet:

Very happy! Now I just have to clean the thing, because it. is. nasty. And I ran out of wiper fluid washing 900 miles of bug guts off the windscreen.

Woohoo! 2 new babies! Maryanne, can't wait to see pics of your PW/B (my personal favorite color combo)! I'll bet the Oregon coast was wonderful.

Pancakex - gorgeous Astro Black. Wow, you've already gone a long ways towards completing your break in period. Get those bug guts washed off, and send more baby pics!

Wow Miniprof - Penelope looks fantastic. Nice job on the grill, stripes and graphics. Still trying to decide between the aero grill or the chrome grill myself. Decisions decisions.

Congrats to PancakeX - Let's hear it for another Production week 23er out motoring

Few pics for you guys still waiting.

I passed break-in today on the way to a rally pur on by Classic MINI.

Car in front got "Best In Show" or some trophy. They had over 200 MINIs on the track throughout the day.

All in all a good day!!!!

BTW, I got 35% tint all the way around!!!! Looks awesome and I have received many compliments. Goes nice with the black roof.

Lookn Good!!

MiniProf, I LOVE your sunroof graphic. We are thinking of getting a Jolly Roger. Maybe a little opposite of peace, but all in good fun.
I also love the stripes on the boot. I want to do that too!
Here are some pics. First two are shortly after we picked her up https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...0&ppuser=25226. They are taken in Lithia park in Ashland (where the Shakesphere festival is)
Next we have me and hubby at the park. https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...0&ppuser=25226
Then some after her bath shots,https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...0&ppuser=25226
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...0&ppuser=25226 and one of her first "minnie" accessory https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...0&ppuser=25226.
Well I got to get going for now. I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures for everyone's new cars!!

Congrats to all the new MINIs and motorers out there!!!!!!

Haven't seen Jayne's list in a while, but looks like most of us have hit the road... Woo Hoooooo!

Herozup, can we see a pic with the 35% tint? I'm still trying to decide what to get, but want to get it done my first day back from Denver 8/14. Want something that look nice and dark from the outside but doesn't make me feel like I'm driving with a blanket over me! 32% is legal here, but 20 is easy to get away with...

Only 2 weeks and 3 days left for me!

Maryanne, the pics are great. Yes, Jolly Roger would be fun on top. I had to go with the peace sign though. I used to live in Eugene, so . . .

Cooperminis - it's getting so close now! It's really exciting. I'm glad you like the aero grille - it wasn't too tough an install at all. Are you and the hubby DIYers?

congrats to pancake and wizardofodd on their new babies! HAPPY MOTORING! I went past break in on saturday. I am now at 1500 miles. Now time to change the oil.

Herozup, i do wanna see pics of what the 35% tint would like like on the MINI, since I went to the complete extreme and went 5%.

I will get a good one of the tint today or tomorrow. I think 35% is perfect. You can see fine at night but it is enough that people have to really look to see in. Of course I have the anthracite headliner and all black interior. That my help.

since I have the checkmate package, the interior is light. I do have the anthracite headliner as well. I guess that can make a difference when you are lookin in through the windshield when you see the A-pillars on the inside. That is why the darker tint for me.
