estimated delivery date?
estimated delivery date?
miniusa has my mini "en route" but on the details it has an estimated delivery date of May 7th. (I've been tracking the boat it's on and it should be arriving today in SC).
Is this May 7th date when it gets to the DEALER???

If you are buying from Patrick, my experience is that they're usually dead on or a couple of days off. They estimated 6-8 weeks for me... I got my car in 6 weeks and 2 days. By the way, the people there are AWESOME.
I'm getting different answers. Owner's Lounge says May 11th, ASK-MINI says May 9th, my MA says it will be leaving the VDC on May 9th and should be here about 4-7 days later. He told me my MINI is ready to go but they're waiting for other BMWs and MINIs to accompany it before it leaves. It makes sense but it really sucks for me
I don't know who to believe. I give up on tracking. First, I had the issue with thinking I'm on the Integrity ship, then I thought I was on the Freedom, then I thought I was on the Patriot. Turns out, I was on the ship that wasn't shown on the cargo website. Now, I'm dealing with this. I think I'm just going to wait it out and not track it anymore before I go crazy :impatient

i guess it doesn't matter because i already bought plane tickets for the 24th...
yes, i ordered from Patrick, so that probably means my MINI will be ready for pickup around the 8th - NEXT WEEK!
Now I have to wait knowing that my MINI is ready and waiting for me...
(I'm almost crazy enough to spend an extra $100 and change my flight! :impatient)
EDIT: I first ordered on March 31, so 6-8 weeks is spot on

Hope your pickup goes as well.

SC ship...
Our mini is on the ship due in to SC today. If I may be so bold where is your mini's final destination? Ours is headed to Motor City Mini - actually way north of the motor city. We are patiently waiting in Ann Arbor. You all seem to have so much more information than we have had, maybe that's good or bad. Let me know when you have your car, ours can't be too far behind, or can it?
Good luck!

HSE - I'd go by what the MA is telling you. They have a different tracking system. They can tell you when your car is loaded on the truck and then from there you can estimate about 3-5 days depending on where it's coming from and traveling to. For instance, mine left South Carolina on a Thursday evening and arrived in IL on the following Monday. It's a 15 hour drive... so they probably had to make some stops along the way and everything.
o-ron - that does stink about the car being there before you're planning to come to Chicago. If I'm at Patrick again between the 7th and 23rd/24th, I'll bring a camera and take pictures for you. I doubt I'll be able to get to the car, though. Who knows? I wouldn't be able to wait if I were you! I'd be paying the $100 to switch it today! I'm so happy with my purchase and the people at Patrick are awesome. I already went back yesterday to pick up some wheel locks and tire valve covers. I feel like a geek.
Randy - It was raining the day I got the car (monday) and it rained on Tuesday, too. It was supposed to rain last night but I needed to wash the car. So I did anyway. I don't think it rained so it all worked out. I want to wash and wax it again already, though. My MA was right, Mini owners are crazy about their cars. Who was your MA at Patrick?

What ship is due in today???
For those wanting to see the port schedule
http://www.port-of-charleston.com
If you go to online tools, and vessel schedule you can ships at the dock, those expected and those that have come and gone.
For example, the Emden arrived Wed at 11:55, work started at 1pm and the ship left at 8:25pm.
When I spoke to my MA this morning, their system showed the car expected at the VDC on May 6th so I guess they have to move the cars from the port parking lot to the VDC. He told me when it gets to the VDC, the system will show the estimated delivery date at the dealer which depends on what must be done at the VDC and the workload at the VDC. Once it departs the VDC, the MA said it should arrive in one to two days in Houston depending on whether the transporter has single or team drivers.
