I ordered my MINI on Friday. I had all my decisions well thought out but was thrown a curve ball when I got to the dealer. I found out that you can't get the black door panels on the hardtop if you get the black/grey leatherette. Originally I wanted black/grey leatherette, anthracite dash, and normal (light grey) headliner. Because fo the curve ball I decided to get the black leatherette, anthracite dash, and anthracite headliner.

Does anyone have a couple good pics of the latter combo? Just to put my mind at ease about the decision. If you have the chrome lined interior, that would be a bonus since I ordered it with the the combo.

I'm picking up my MCS tomorrow afternoon, and it's got the black leatherette, anthracite dash, anthracite headliner and chrome line interior. I'm definitely planning to take a bunch of photos when I pick it up, and I'll post some interior shots to this thread when I get home.

Yea, that's a little bit of a trip (though not as far as some have gone).
Fortunately, I live about 5 minutes from Classic, so I could drive past every day to see if my MINI had arrived yet.

VERY similar to mine, save for the LSD and the chrome grill.

 

It's in the little lot next to the BMW dealership (across the street from the MINI showroom), in the row of MINIs facing the street. It'll probably be there until tomorrow, when they get it all cleaned up for me.

Grey Leatherette comes with Black door casings on the hardtop Cooper S and Grey door casings on the hardtop Cooper ... as reflected on the MINI USA configurator.

 

i have the black leatherette and the Anthracite headliner. I have the piano black dash... and love it!! all blacked out!

You are correct. I am not sure. That is what my MA told me. I asked if he was sure and he said it was a recent change. I will call and ask him again. Of course now I am starting to come to grips with the idea of the all dark interior.

Can you take a closer photo of your speedo/tach trim rings? With the piano black option, you get them in anthracite instead of silver. Even those of us with anthracite interior have them in standard silver, which is a bad mismatch because the other dash rings do come in anthracite.

 

I had ordered mine the same way - black/grey leatherette, anthracite dash, and light grey headliner. A few days after placing the order, I had it changed to all black leatherette and the anthracite headliner. Not only do I think I'll like the overall darkness better, looking upwards inside my GTI tells me that when given the choice between a light or dark headliner, take the dark. It's just going to look cleaner a lot longer!

 

Thanks Ryan.. Makes me feel better. I think I will like it too. I was in my friends Passat today and he has black leather and door panels with the light headliner and I was glad that I got the anthracite headliner. I think it will look good being darker.

 

I have the anthricite headliner with black leatherette interior and it looks great. Definitely recommend it. -g

Hey Herozup, bummer 'bout the curve ball... did the dealer say this is a new combo for the '06-'07??? ... seems like your so close to finally getting something then this:impatient ... i feel it's kinda crazy how these combo packages are put together, but whatever. I picked up my MINI today and there are a couple pics of my interior in my gallery. There would be more, but a lot of my pics didn't turn out too well... I was too excited and couldn't hold the camera still.

 

hey great looking car we have a BRG coming in about a month with all anthracite interior and chromeline interior, so yours was a nice "sneak peak" - thanks!

Beaglemini - there are a number of threads in the MINI Talk forum, for the various different colors of MINIs. You can get to the BRG thread by clicking on the badge in my sig. TR53 made a badge for the "Chili Red Owner's Club" thread, and has since modified it for many of the colors, including BRG. Basically, copy the image from here and put it in your gallery, and then stick it in your sig. Lots of people have done it (I see 4 others with the various badges in their sigs in this thread).

herozup - I've lurked a bit at minineo, and I signed up for an account, but it won't let me log in. I'm not sure why, and I haven't yet bothered to email anyone about it. Maybe I'll do that now.....
