I just wanted to say, Hi! I've been lurking here since I ordered my car in March 06. My MA told me about this site and it is such a wealth of information, Thank You!

Thanks for the welcome! I picked up my car two weeks ago, and joined the Astro Black Registery yesterday.
If you go into my gallery you'll notice I blacked out my beltline chrome strip, that was my first mod, beside painting my rear calipers red to match the front JCW calipers, can't really see that on the pic. I'll put more in the gallery.
The belt line blackout was easy, I used 3M Scotchcal Striping Tape #72793
1/2in wide low gloss black. The roll has 150ft.and I'm sure enought to do 2-3 cars if you watch your waste. I cleaned the beltline with some alcohol and went for it, took less than an hour.
