My new MINI is going to need a name...

I've been thinking about this and trying to come up with a name. The MINI is an '06 MCS DS/B/B + a bunch of stuff

One motorer mentioned the MINI will tell me its name... well I'm waiting patiently..

Anyway, I'm not really looking for name suggestions per se, but suggestions on how to even go about figuring out a name.. is there any kind of convention to this?

I had my car a few weeks now and just when I thought I had a name and used it for a few days, I'm still not sure it's the right one. I have found that the MINI has a great personality so I'm still thinking and searching for the perfect name. The other problem to deal with is if you want to call "He" or "She." I have been leaning toward the latter as things such as a car or boat I find are mostly referred to as a "She." Such as, "She really goes!", or "She's a beauty!" Or the one I've been hearing from friends seeing my MINI for the first time, "When did you get her?"

See the problem?

The search continues. Good luck!

Dude ... your motorer is correct.

When we first got our MINI, my wife IMMEDIATELY called HER 2SWEET. She came home one day and said "That car is TOO SWEET!". The poor MINI hated that name!.

You see, she likes BLING but she also likes to the other goodies. When SHE is ready, SHE will let us know. For now, SHE is called "the MINI".

I know that sounds hokey but if you get her MINI upset, you WILL regret it.

Ours has a good name and a good home

Hello All,

Still new here an just looking around. My wife and I took delivery of our MCS on 3/1/02 it is badged as an 03. British Racing Green, White bonnet stripes, white everything else. It's been a love affair from day 1 as we had to drive it from Bufflao NY to the Boston area. A fast 390 miles on engine. On the way home my wife, who at the time was still learning to drive a stick, remarked "the car is zippy". Instant karma, instant name. More karma, when we got MA plates....four digits followed by the letters ZP. An act of god. So if your are concerned about a name, relax and it will come to you. This is something you can't force.

For our 1st MINI, which was to be mine until our daughter got her license, (therefore it was hers/mine) it was surely going to be a girl so we looked on a baby names web site until we found one that would fit a CR/W S. We decided on Audrey. When hubby ordered his 4 months later, with plans to mod it for racing, we knew it had to be a boy. Since it was going to be all-black, we tried to think of things, places, characters that were all black. We remembered the black panther in Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book was named Bagheera. We thought it fit because he was quick, stealthy and VERY cool. It totally fits the car. We have an "A" car and a "B" car.

Now MY PH/W MCS is onboard the Liberty and should dock in NJ on 4/16. I somehow think it should be a "C" name. I've come up with girl and boy names but I don't know if this one is male of female. Silly huh?

And so it goes, nothings decided. All in good time I guess.
