Touringcomets, That's great news!!! keep us updated. let us know if you really can pick up ur car tomorrow and take some picture. yeah, mine said it's @ the distribution center. But my MA is still not sure if she'll be able to get the car for me tomorrow. since i'll be out of town work thursday and friday. I perfer to get the car on saturday.. and seems like there will not be any problem for me picking up the car this saturday! I am soooo looking forward for it.

 

Looks like a no-go for today. The trucking company has it, but even though it is only a few hours drive to the dealer, it's not there yet. Now hoping for midday Friday.

 

Hmmm, the OL finally updated, and it now has an est delivery date, but the date is Sat the 29th! Thurs afternoon, my MA said it should be in Fri, hope he's right. If it's not there first thing in the morning, so I can get it by noon, I will be gone for the weekend. Won't be able to stay too long on Monday, so I can get back and get it then.

 

Oh... no hope for me to get my car this weekend. My OL updated the est delivery date from 4/27 to 5/4... i am so sad now

 

cooldude, that's a bummer, although I don't trust the OL 100%. What does your MA say?

Well, I finally got the phone call, my car is on the dealer's lot. I'ts getting a rear fog installed, so I will pick it up tonight. Man-o-man, it's hard to believe the wait is almost over, 2 1/2 months from order to delivery.

Might still be able to salvage our weekend plans.

 

Just got the best news of all. I had sent an email to my MA some time ago, requesting to not have the front license plate holder installed, since it requires drilling holes in the bumper, and I will be using a tow hook bracket instead. I left him a voice mail earlier today to double check about that, and he just called to say he took care of it. He said normally it is the first thing they do when the cars arrive, and he had gone around before hand to make sure everyone knew not to do it. Glad my MA came through on that one.

 

My baby is home! Picked it up last night, and had a 17 mile drive home on the freeway. I love the sound of the HK stereo. I burned a CD of songs that I thought would be good to crank up the volume for, and it sure sounded great. I have the CVT automatic, and it is really nice and smooth, no shifts to feel.

The plans to take the MINI out of town for the weekend fell apart, and now I am stuck sitting around in case someone wants to see the '93 BMW 740i we are selling. I still have Monday off work, so I'll be taking the MINI out for sure.

TC, Congrats!!! that 's such a good news! I got a called from the MA this today.. i wont' be able to get my car till next weekend... =( totally ruin my weekend... she said it isn't finish w/ the test.... and she said since it's the end of the month, many cars are waiting to be tested...

 

The day has finally arrived. I may be among the last of the Week 11s to take delivery, but early tomorrow morning I catch a plane to Salt Lake City. My MA from Mini of Murray will pick me up at the airport and take me to my new SR/S Cooper. I should be on the road back to Seattle by noon. I'm taking my time getting home breaking up the drive into three leisurely 300+ mile segments - Boise, ID and Bend, OR being the stops. So long as I'm home for Mother's Day it'll be all good.
