I just heard from my MA that my SR/S MC is scheduled for production the week of March 13th! Woot!

And I just found out from my MA that my HB/B MC is scheduled for the 15th. Hope it makes it on the boat leaving the 18th for Port Hueneme, arriving April 10th.

 

I'm scheduled for production next week, but I got an email reply on another subject from ASKMINI that includes my VIN#. How can I have a VIN before the car is produced?

 

My mini has porduction week 11, but I dont get it delivered before week 14
Can't wait anymore!!

 

ASK MINI just told me that my HB/W S has been bumped from week 10 to week 11. Kind of explains why the "Scheduled for Production" status hasn't changed. March 15th the nice lady told me. I can't wait!!! Anyone else actually planning how to get through the break in period. I might have a small road trip to help me through the miles otherwise I would just go crazy.

 

My car today went to the status of 'Body Shop'. Just a few more days until it's done.

For the break in, I'm planning to take a day or two off work when it arrives, and drive around the mountains around LA, to get some miles on it where I can vary the engine speed. I only commute a couple miles to work, so I need to do something besides wait for the weekends.

 

Boy, not a lot of activity on the week 11 thread. My wife's mini is supposed to be complete 3/19, but I still haven't heard any of the "in production" statuses like Body Shop or Paint Shop. I assume with a 3/19, we are week 11 (the week 12 people said we were). Anybody else getting good updates?

As far a break-in trips, we are planning to go to Cincinnati (from Chicago area) for Easter, and are hoping to have it by then to get the break-in mostly done. If not, we might have to come up with a trip.

 

Just out of production, now awaiting tranport to port of exit. First major hurdle crossed. Still about a month to go, with the three week boat trip to the west coast.

 

I got nothin'. Still "scheduled for production." Looking like I might be joining the Week 12 group...

 

Boy, is everyone with a week 11 production date too busy partying for St. Pattie's day to post ? Just found out from my wife that ours is getting painted today. Pretty soon the boat watching will begin.

 

My SR/S MC was built yesterday! Now get her on a boat and get her over here! Time for a road trip!

 

Not too busy, just no access to the internet since Wednesday. My can has been "Awaiting Transport" since I first checked early Friday. Is it strange that I am fearing the attack of a giant squid monster on which ever ship my baby gets put on? I got back to my place late from a long trip, so I'll give ASK MINI a call tomorrow morning to find out when she will be on a boat and which boat and so on and so forth. Go anti-sea monster technology!

 

Well, it has been a few days since I went to "Awaiting Transport"...any idea what boat we might be on and when? Or did Baxter miss the boat?

 

Hello evry1. Glad 2 meet you all. Thelonious was built on St. Patricks Day. Its a CR/R with Packages 1,2,3, LSD, Rear fog, seven interior, athracite headliner, armrest, body color shift ****, chromeline interior from Mymini, and aux.

 

Ask mini says they can't track Thelonious past the Southhampton docks. Is that true? Also, I live in chicago. Will my car most likely dock in NY or Charleston?

 

I'm with you, deuce, same status, waiting for a boat. I just missed the boat that left the 19th. The next 2W boat going to the port near me (west coast of US) leaves the 27th. I left a message with my MA to let me know what carrier it goes on, and the bill of lading number, but haven't heard anything yet.

I'm hoping my SR/S MC gets on the boat on the 27th with yours TouringComet! Has you MA given you any ETA yet? Mine keeps telling me that once it's "en route" she'll be able to tell me more.

 

Just found out the ship is at port waiting for a boat. It supposedly finished 3/19. Most likely our Mini will be on the UNDINE, leaving Southampton the 23rd. Don't know if I ever posted our specs. It's a
SB Cooper S with Checkmate, Convenience, CWP, Crono, LSD, MFS and Ipod Adapter.

I live in Maryland,fairly close to Baltimore,so once they check it over in N.Y.,it's not far for the truck to tote.Should have her early in April.Take care.

 

Hot damn! Where in Maryland? Did you buy from Mini of Towson? I have a MINI Cooper S on the same ship. Hyper Blue with white roof and white bonnet stripes. I'm up in Edgewood...... Looks like I'm not alone on the Freedom!

 

Hi, stargate 823. Pleased to meet you! Yes, I purchased from MINI of Towson in mid February, so it hasn't been too long of a wait compared to some on here. I'm for all intents and purposes from Baltimore,Technically I'm on the outskirts of the city but..... That Hyper Blue is dazzling is it not! Actually I though briefly about Chili Red and White but my present car is red, and the two before that were also red. It's great hearing from someone in Maryland with a similar car, although mine doesn't have all that horsepower etc.! Well so long for now. Shouldn't be too much longer for us!

Hi stargate823. I live in Baltimore and,yes I did buy from MINI of Towson. Nice bunch of folks. Nice to hear from someone close by with a similar car, although yours is quite a bit fancier and has all that umpf! My last three cars have been red so I opted for blue this time, and what a lovely blue it is! It shouldn't be much longer. Maybe first week in April, do you think? By the way I sent a similar message previously but don't know where it went!
