Great! Any special plans for your first weekend with it?

We are going to go a few hours north of LA to visit some friends the weekend of the 29th. If mine arrives in time, I'll probably take it up there.

I am new here. I ordered my MINI on March 6th. My MINI should dock this Friday! I am so excited!!! =P

 

Not trying to brag but I'm only 100 miles from being out of break in. Can't wait. Wish you, my fellow motorers, God's speed in getting your MINIs.

I am not sure but I guess so. My MA haven't tell me. I orded from Calabasas Bob Smith MINI.

 

Supposed to be delivered this Friday. No special plans. I may cruise down Lake Shore Drive. Other than that.

 

cooldude7, you're definitely Port Hueneme. Must be on the same boat as mine, the Orion Diamond. We may even end up on the same truck, although your dealer is a little closer than mine, Nick Alexander. Hopefully, we'll be motoring sometime next week.

 

TouringComet, I can't wait any longer. Time seems to pass by sooooooo sloooowwww now. Do you guys have any clue how long is the MINI going to be in the distribution center?

 

Since we are only a few hours away from the VDC, I just can't imagine it will be more than a week until the cars are at our dealers. My own target date, that I set a long time ago, has been the end of April, so anything before that will seem like it is early.

 

Mine was in the VDC for about a day...but then again it seemed my delivery was extra swift. Sorry. Oh yeah and I just broke my baby in. Good lord is she a monster after 4500RPMs...

 

My M.A. told me that they usually are at the V.D.C. for about 3 or 4 days. Mine was there for about 8 days, but the car of another buyer from my dealership, whos car arrived in N.Y. on the same day as mine, only spent a day there. Good to see that things have cleared up for those who didn't even know where their cars were there for a while! Having great fun with KiKi (named after a character in an anime film called "Kiki's Delivery Service," a tad strange maybe, but then again........) by the way.

 

Today's the day my MINI (and a few others) is supposed to arrive and set foot on American soil for the first time. The eagerly anticipated docking of the Orion Diamond at Port Hueneme. Only a couple of weeks now...

 

I just got a message from my MA, she said my MINI is expecting to dock on Sunday. Another two more days...

 

To those with MINIs on the Orion Diamond - have you heard from your MA on whether it docked on 4/21 (as scheduled)?

I emailed my MA this morning and got a reply back stating that it is now due to dock at Port H tomorrow (4/25). Wondering if any of you have heard differently...

Shoot. We are planning a trip this weekend, and were hoping to take our new MINI. Still a slim chance it can get thru the VDC quick and to the dealer. We wanted to leave Fri, but if I can pick it up Sat morning, that would work too. No wonder the OL status hasn't changed, and no estimated delivery date yet.

 

Good news: ASK MINI updated to say at port, the ship is finally at Port Hueneme. Bad news: another thread reports a backlog at the dist center, cars won't be offloaded until tomorrow. Anyone else hear that?

Still no est delivery date on the OL.

 

I have not heard anything from my MA for 4 days. I'll let you guys know as soon as I hear from her.

 

I just got an email from my MA. She said my MINI have arrived at the port. and it is getting tests done and should be boarding a truck very soon.

 

We picked up our car last Wednesday. No pictures yet, and I'm not sure if there will be (I'm not too big on internet pictures), but I'll see. Our ship arrived in Charleston on the 11th, and it was at our dealer and delivered (same day) on the 19th. Since it had to truck from Charleston to Chicago, I don't think ours could have been at the VDC more than a few days. Good luck to those still waiting -- it can't be too much longer.

Yep, another week or so, and all of us from week 11 should have our cars.

 

I was tracking my MINI on the MINI Lounge today. And it says the expected delivery date is 4/27/06. Does any of you know what that means?

 

That's the date your dealer may get your car. I would die for that date. Our dealers are so close together, I hope mine isn't too far behind. Does your status on the OL say at distribution center? No est date for me yet on the OL, I think I'll call my MA.

 

Called my MA, he says it's been released from the VPC, so I should be able to pick it up tomorrow afternoon. Yahoo! Even if it isn't ready until Fri, that will work for our weekend plans. Yahoo! He says he'll let me know 9 am tomorrow when it will be ready. Luckily, I'm just getting the rear fog added at the dealer, so they don't need to do much to prep it for me. Yahoo!
